Boris had a grommet put in his ears when he was little.
That may explain why he still hears nothing.

Population density was not the key.. . Nor did they ban people entering.. but restricted it to Kiwis and THEN PAID TO PUT THEM UP in LUXURY hotels for the Quarantine Periods.. no ifs no buts, no washy "self isolation" fudges. Then they tested and contact traced, and tested and contact traced. Oh and the fact that their Premier was honest with them from day 1 ,and followed the Science......and banning people coming into the country and having plenty of space so the population density is low.
They did ban entry to the country. My niece was due to go there as a medic on 01/04. The New Zealand authorities wrote to her in March saying that entry was refused due to Coronavirus.Population density was not the key.. . shared public transport is the major factor.Population density is a major factor.
Which are to be found serving areas of high population density.shared public transport is the major factor.
Especially airplanes and airport, also underground.
Tracking and tracing may be impossibleThey did ban entry to the country. My niece was due to go there as a medic on 01/04. The New Zealand authorities wrote to her in March saying that entry was refused due to Coronavirus.
You are clearly wrong on that aspect and I suspect on the other aspects too. Population density is a major factor. The U.K. population centres have suffered the most, London & Birmingham being two examples. People live so closely together that tracking and tracing is virtually impossible. In these cities, you can have contact with many people who’s identities are totally unknown.
And all the outlying villages tooWhich are to be found serving areas of high population density.
While I fully agree that having teams going round care homes is an obvious and highly apporpriate thing to arrange, I sadly suspect it will be too late for all too many.Looks like contact tracing 'fire brigade' desperately required in care homes - testing and identifying visitors, staff and their families.
Coronavirus: Care home deaths up as hospital cases fall
Outbreaks in care homes claiming 2,000 lives a week, but hospital fatalities are going down.www.bbc.co.uk
Strikes me as possible that some areas are easier to consider thorough contact tracing than others. The combination of cases so far and both absolute number and distribution of population makes round here look a sensible possibility. And Isle of Wight.Tracking and tracing may be impossible
Since there is no intention on the part of the government to make even a token effort. We will never know for sure, will we?
Yes it is and has been from the outset, as the facts show only too clearly.Population density was not the key.
I think the smart phone App idea using Bluetooth and NFC could be useful. It won’t work for everyone, but many people use iOS or Android devices. There will be a few tinfoil hat wearers that won’t buy in, but I think enough will to make it work.Tracking and tracing may be impossible

Not around these parts. It’s the big towns and cities where it’s very hard to isolate and virtually impossible to manually contact trace where the problems exist. The numbers support that. And all the outlying villages too
No.. read my answer. Was your niece a Kiwi?. Non nationals were not let in at all. They did ban entry to the country. My niece was due to go there as a medic on 01/04. The New Zealand authorities wrote to her in March saying that entry was refused due to Coronavirus.

Somebody is being economic with the truth here.. the statement should read .. " death rate 70% higher than admitted". The number being 1.7 times the reported number.Well, what's a few percent here or there?
The Covid-19 death toll in England and Wales was 52.9% higher than the daily figures. The Office for National Statistics said it had recorded 21,284 fatalities that mentioned Covid-19 on the death certificate as of 17 April, compared with 13,917 in the daily hospital death stats published by the government.
That would be one of way of really destroying the economy.Underground services stopped.
What figures are you writing about?Somebody is being economic with the truth here.. the statement should read .. " death rate 70% higher than admitted". The number being 1.7 times the reported number.
