I don’t have a clue what you are on about in 90% of that message.

Turning to your party, I won’t be able to attend but thank you for the invitation. Will you be putting on any food? A finger buffet or similar?
It's not my party. It's in London in the streets AFAIK. I won't be putting on food there because I'll be at home; however, I always put on a nice spread for the birds in the garden. Every day, they get 9 hand-fulls of meal worms, 3 fat balls, and I top up their black sunflower hearts, white sunflower hearts and mixed seed feeders. That's quite a spread for them, but more of a beak buffet than a finger one. For me, it'll be fake Weetabix for breakfast and chicken nuggets with steamed vegetables in the evening because that's what I have nearly every day.

Should I put a flag on the top of the bird-house on 31st so that they can celebrate Brexit day, or do you think they might poop on it?

That was in the days when the Brexit thread was extremely accessible and noticeable from the main forum. My words were brief, but what I meant was that I would have preferred if politics had been kept away from the electric bike forum. The reasons being that there were many bad words posted and things got very personal, which caused many good contributors to the electric bike stuff to leave the forum entirely. If you look at the posts in this Brexit thread at that time, you will see that a very large number of people from the main forum got drawn into it.

All this was solved when admin more or less hid it. Now, people that come to Pedelecs looking for electric bike info, don't find it, so they don't get drawn in. If you look at who's posting now, you'll see that virtually no new people have found their way here from the Electric bike sections. It's just the same approx 10 people.

Now that my wish has been achieved, and this thread is not corrupting what goes on in the electric bike section, I'm happy. I think admin did a good job.

The threads's whole existence seemed a bit pointless other than being a means to vent off some steam. The facts presented were never going to convince anyone nor influence anything. It never achieved anything other than bad feelings.

Even now, it's toxicity hasn't gone. Look how you're trying to dig up evidence to expose me as a bad person, and trying to twist what I say into the most negative interpretation, like some sort of witch hunt. I'm not a bad person, so that's not going to work, but if it helps you vent off steam from your own problems, then go ahead. It doesn't bother me.

I'd like to remind you Mr Zlatan that in post #20 of that thread, when Tommy said that the Brexit thread should be closed, your name is there with a big fat green tick!

If it adds to my case, I'll give you this quote from Mr Zlatan in the same thread, which pretty well summed up the situation at that time. Note the bit about dual identities. I think you should review some of your posts in the last couple of days Mr Zlatan:

"Expressing opinions on anything is absolutely fine...hijacking sections of a forum, insulting opposing views and then using forum to soap box your own indoctrinations should not be tolerated.

Just for record without flecc ( and Woosh) that thread would have deteriorated even lower. It seems to me some ( including those two) can have civilised discussion with opposing views and agree to disagree. For some on that thread this quality is missing.
Mods should delete and sin bin offending posts, posters. ( Calling all leavers racists, all Tories scum etc etc has no place on forum in any section)
I also suspect there are dual identity posters prevalent on the thread. Mods could stop that.
If there were a poll, I,d vote to close thread. "

nobody said you are a bad person, nobody twisted your words or tried to.
although there have been bad words said many times against one another, this thread invites diversity and I think you can and should put your own views here, even though I am not interested in Tommy Robinson a tiny little bit.

Breaking News: The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals just reversed a lower court decision & gave the go ahead to build one of the largest sections of the desperately needed Southern Border Wall, Four Billion Dollars.

The tide is starting to turn. Trump is changing from a pariah into a good President. Boris is changing from a buffoon into a good Prime Minister. Hollywood is exposed by Ricky Gervais. John Durham will expose the FBI and CIA next month. Epstein lawsuits will expose some of what's going on in the deep state. Basically, the old deep state are starting to lose. Long live the new deep state.

What's Tommy Robinson got to do with it?
You've posted about Tommy Robinson in this Brexit thread, as well as in another.

As for you accusing me of trying to make you look a bad person, I think you are becoming paranoid. You challenged me by saying you were not opposed to this thread when you clearly were, this obviously calling for a rebuttal. Remember, it was you saying I had made that up that was trying to make me look bad when I was simply posting the truth.

With regards to this thread losing members who got annoyed, my experience is that those who are disposed to walk out in a huff when something doesn't suit them, sooner or later do so anyway. It doesn't need this thread. You are evidence of the truth of that, walking out four times before the referendum or this thread ever started, the last time cancelling your membership.

Finally in 2018 you left for a fifth time in a dispute with another member, nothing to do with this thread.

I think you have mistaken yourself for some kind of moderator. As far as I can tell, you are just a regular forum contributor who has no enhanced status or influence, exactly like the rest of us.

This thread is very easy to find and anyone can access it. There seems to be a core of regular contributors, with others such as yourself popping in and out. This situation will continue regardless of your personal preferences, because as I have stated, you have no influence.

What on earth are you talking about. I have no reason at all to modify any of my posts, apart from perhaps the one where I apologised to you. That was a waste of time wasnt it.
As for the quote you, ve gone to great lengths to dig up from me I stand by it. Its perfectly true and valid now.
Screenshot_20200109_160707.jpg
Please explain how that is insulting anyone? Its obviously you who is hijacking not the thread but the entire forum, wanting it to evolve and work as you see fit. Hard luck it isnt doing.
This thread is no harder to find than ever before and is not responsible for anyone leaving. I know of two posters who left after threats were made by stupid posters, one of whom was an invention of a posters odd imagination.
If anything puts people of posting its people like you. Know it all and controlling.
What right have you to question any poster's participation on forum or any thread?
And BTW I have never criticised dual identities or new IDs. Quite the reverse.
If you, 50 or Barry are or are not new IDs of previous posters I could not care less.
I, ve argued and disagreed with I, d guess most posters involved in this thread and in every case all parties have moved on, agreed to disagree, apologised where necessary and forgotten about past like adults do. You seem incapable of doing so.
Seems to me VFR you are a rare person capable of arguing with the entire Forum population. You have managed to unite all sides on this thread in disagreement with you. Its a first. A unanimous result, all against you. That takes some doing. Well done.

On a lighter note
Cometh the hour, cometh the man
"
Uri Geller calls for Dominic Cummings to hire him to secure post-Brexit trade deals
Geller said he saw himself as an "international ambassador" - able to help solve the crisis in the Persian Gulf and bring about a nuclear deal that both Iran and the US would agree to.

"I believe I can also negotiate with Iran and get the peace agreements much faster than anyone else can do."

All together now, let's have a collective sigh of relief.

That's lies again. I've never left this forum because of a dispute. I always have other reasons for leaving, of which you know nothing about. You're trying to be a mind-reader again, but your telepathy is working on the wrong frequency. And for your information, when I left in 2018, it was because of this thread. I didn't see why I should give up all my time for nothing to help the forum grow and bring punters to it, only for them to get sucked in to political indoctrination, as it was then. When admin fixed it, I felt happy to come back. That's my choice. I can post or not post when I want, and it's nothing to do with you.

Why shouldn't I have mentioned Tommy Robinson, and what's that got to do with recent discussions. Tommy Robinson was standing for MEP in the NE under a policy of getting us out of the EU.

I think our opinion paths have converged over the months OG. Couldnt agree more over Trump. I, ve thought it impolite to criticize another countries' democratically chosen leader but watching Trump you do wonder if he is sane and how the hell did he end up leader of the so called free world. How did that happen. Its a massive worry.
I, m doing a curry for 9 of us tonight.. Saag Gosht. Anyhow.... Hope things are calm at home.

Where did I say anything about that insulting anyone?
Well what was the problem with the quote?
I think the better question is what's your problem? You seem rather annoyed at everything and everybody?
Ferguson used to say that Roy Keane could start an argument in an empty house. Who does that remind you of VFR?

Thank you for asking, yes the dear wife is relatively calm at the moment, save a bit of curry for me!
And in many ways her reactions and Trumps are far too similar for me to feel safe till the USA sidelines him somewhere he can get appropriate treatment.

Have you noticed the similarities between the Democrats in the USA and our Labour party. Both are looking for a leader, and neither are having much success.
might finish with Keir Starmer versus Lisa Nandy.

The forgone conclusion drags on
!
The House of Lords have been warned by the government to listen to the 'will of the people' and back Boris Johnson's Brexit bill amid concerns they could derail it.

Even if the "Will of the people is actually to remain"

Of course quite soon History will have been rewritten to read that Brexit was the "Unanimous" decision of the British people.

What a total waste of time.
