A new low even for the Telegraph
"
Aliens are among us... and they’re running to be leader of the Labour Party!

"The shadow business secretary, who looks like the love child of the Roswell alien and Mrs Merton, just confirmed that she is running to succeed Jeremy Corbyn"

At some point this rag of a newspaper is going to have to stop making these sort of attacks.
The question is, why do they imagine after the success the Conservatives had in the General Election , there is any point in these juvenile and spiteful attacks on the opposition?

There are two alternative possible reasons
  1. They are criminally stupid
  2. They know there is real trouble ahead and this is a long term thing to keep the voters on side.
Admittedly it could be a little of both reasons.
The real question is, how legal is it to attack a person in this way for her appearance by making invidious comparisons?

We now appear to have recognised that discrimination and insults based on some human characteristics are quite simply unacceptable. About time things like this were also put beyond the pale.

They're hardly in a position to criticise on appearance when they have and have had the likes of Rees Mogg, Anne Widdecombe, Michael Gove, Theresa May, Dominic Cummings et al on their side.

That's the basis for a new type of zoo.

That’s really funny. I can see exactly what they are getting at and they are spot on.

I can’t imagine what the problem is. If she’s any good at her job, I’ll vote for her. If she’s incompetent and has no plan which I can believe in, I won’t. My vote won’t be influenced by appearance.

Our MPs don’t earn or deserve our respect, so we may as well get value for money from them by taking the urine when we can, and having a laugh.

First of many brexit casualties.

BREAKING >>> Prince Harry to run for President of the USA

Seriously ;-) Will Trump let him in and get him a job?

He's effectively resigned from the royal family so can't claim allowance / pay for performing duties i.e taking holidays - so he's unemployed, in fact they both are.

Funny as taxpayers have just stumped up a couple of million quid just doing their country mansion up. Maybe they'll rent it out to the other power couple (World King & Queen) Boris & Carrie...

The man is a clown. He has no concept of reality. He jets around the globe whilst telling people not to jet around the globe. Don’t worry about him, he will still suckle on the royal teat. He can’t survive on his own merit.

Yup, I was very puzzled why I got such a hostile reception. I went through all my posts and couldn't find anything controversial. Flecc says I'm childish and don't want to be here, but I don't see that in any of my posts, neither can he show any examples. I ask a guy how he got here when his background is a atypical, which makes me suspicious, and he go nuts, then I looked again, and I think I found it. Was it by any chance this comment?

"What's happened to Brexit then? Anybody going to the party on the 31st? I hear Union jacks are selling extremely well at the moment. "

If so, I'm sorry if it was a bit insensitive. I should have known that some of you might be more nationalistic and prefer the St Georges cross, St Andrews cross or red dragon. I didn't mean to cause any offence. I'm just a bit old-fashioned. So I ask the question again, is anybody going to the party on the 31st with whichever flag you want? Nobody replied last time. I guess that was because you got put off by the flag bit.

Did you see that CNN settled with Nicholas Sandman. Some say he's gone straight into the top 1%. Not bad for a kid that got kicked out of school (though not his fault). What's more. That's only 1 of the 15 he's suing.

Do you think it might be worth buying a Brexit hat and wearing it at the next Brexit protest? I might try that, and see if I can find a group with a lot of victim points to stand in front of. The money would come in handy for the dogs home I want to start.

I don’t have a clue what you are on about in 90% of that message.

Turning to your party, I won’t be able to attend but thank you for the invitation. Will you be putting on any food? A finger buffet or similar?

14th March 2019 City council to fly EU flag on Brexit Day

33574

THE European Union flag will be flown by Oxford City Council on the day the UK leaves the EU.

The authority’s executive board agreed the plan at a meeting on Wednesday, in defiance of the result of the referendum held in June 2016.

At that time, 70 per cent of people in Oxford said they wanted to remain part of the EU.
Susan Brown, the council’s leader, said: “[The council will be] flying the EU flag to mark the fact that we would rather like to remain in the EU, thank you very much, in this city.”

The time for this sort of bad tempered childish nonsense is over. We are leaving, I’m not happy about it, but this pathetic divisiveness will achieve nothing. What outcome is this council hoping for by flying the flag? What is the strategy? There is no plan or strategy, it’s just ugly immaturity. idiots.

Many actions of protest can appear childish to those looking on. But those who are involved might well feel they have few other ways of expressing their opinions in public.

I looked on DM site this morning and first 15(really 15) articles were about Royal pilocks. The 16th was the unimportant issue of what downed aircraft. And last night BBC did exactly same. Interviewing that dark dwarf American for her views on meaning of life. She said she, d had a hard year. FFS.
World possibly on brink of WW3 and our media are interviewing special needs adults telling us they, ve had a hard time because Queenie and Jolly Greek gobshite have been mean to them. And I pay a license fee to listen to the moaning self centred tart.
Mind you wouldnt shake her out your sleeping bag would you.

I see nothing wrong with some councils flying a particular flag on brexit day.
brexit day is just a legal date, UK citizens are still treated as EU citizens, joining the same queues at passport control.
Much more important is the next New Year day, 1/1/2021.
Hopefully, we'll have got a better Leader of the Opposition and I'd like to see that date postponed another 6 months to a year.
