Nothing to do with democracy, but a great deal to do with manipulating the gullible into voting to disadvantage themselves.
Try "Abusing the Democratic process" and not the first European country to fall for it.
What on earth are you talking about now? What 'abuse' was there in this election? Are you inferring it was the Russians again? Or what? It was a fair scrap if you ask me - everybody told their share of half-lies and lies - and then the people voted.

Where was the 'abuse'?

Humorous article in the Express toay
"
Ministers ‘terrified’ as Dominic Cummings plans ‘Valentine’s massacre’ for civil service
MINISTERS fear a ‘Valentine’s massacre’ in the new year as Dominic Cummings plots ambitious reforms to the Government and civil service according to reports.

What happened to Parliament "Taking back control"?
He's their man isn't he?

Can't wait to see what a balls up he makes FOR THEM
This is where the rot begins for the Tory party.
No. This is where the civil service gets the kick up the backside they've had coming for decades.

Rebbecca Wrong Daily looks as though she, ll be picking up the baton from loony left... Doesnt look like they are learning. She, s McSkulky's chosen one.
Apparently she, s a very clever lady with an outstanding memory. She came into politics after witnessing her father's worry over redundancy by Thatcher. She was 2 at the time.
If they put this rubbish in a tv programme you, d turn over saying it was too far fetched and unbelievable.
Labour get worst result in living memory and carry on regardless. Or appear to be doing.

You are forgetting, it’s not Labour that has got it wrong, it’s the public’s fault.

Make that 10 year term for Johnson, 15 years now.

RLB can't be worse than Corbyn. She'll be OK facing Bojo in PMQs.
Labour needs the unions to stay afloat now.
They'll figure out how to fight the tories in 4-5 years time.

The referendum remember? it would have been annulled if it had been mandatory

Flecc..I think rose tinted nostalgia might be occurring... ( Not the bit about the ruler..I was there also), but classes were routinely streamed, particularly post primary, but often in primary school.
Even worse, those types of jobs, while they may need to be done, are being either automated away,or require certification to do.
Absolutely no rose tinted spectacles, I often annoy those with them when I insist on the facts from the past from my partially eidetic memory. Of course there are those who insist there is no such thing as an eidetic memory, even when proven to them beyond doubt. Once again the religion that science can all too easily become.

And I find your latter paragraph simply unbelievable, it's so far removed from the truth you really are very out of touch with ground floor reality and possibilities.

Whether refuse can be cleared from a very difficult location by automation isn't in question. Nor is it in question with a narrow vertical drain that can just accept a slim man to manually dig out out to several feet deep.

But neither are ever going to happen due to the immense cost and complexity of automating them in each infinitely variable situation, compared with the miniscule cost of one often uneducated man. I'm speaking here of two actual situations on my doorstep, the latter within the last couple of months, the former weekly.

Tony Blair lost Corbyn GE. Its official. If Laboue party completely rids itself of him and his Cronies they will win next time.
Why is it powers that be need to conduct investigations into things public know full well the answer to. Does Mrs McCluskey get up in a morning and ask Len what he wants for breakfast and he replies a week later after a full investigation.
But things are looking up. Milliband (the one stood second in queue for looks and brains) is conducting a full study into why they lost. He, s promised to have a full answer in next 6 years.
