I never suspected it was to deceive, as you say we all edit posts.

I do try not to edit by addition after posting though, preferring to reply twice so as not to accidentally mislead.

Most of my editing is due to my appalling typing. Too often at the end of a sentence when I look up to the screen the text appears to be Hungarian.
.
Agreed. I, ll make new posts rather than add to old ones. Its a fair point.

Ha. You could have some fun with that. Write something OG or Flecc would agree with - wait for a like from them (you never know...) - and then go back and completely re-write your original post with something completely contradictory.
It happens.

It's worst when one doesn't return for 24 hours when the edit facility is no longer available and the amended post now strongly disagreed with carries an Agree for posterity.

That is compensating the innocent party for an act by an un insured motorist. The person who owns the offending car will receive nothing for any personal injury or damage to his vehicle in the event of an accident.

If you draw a comparison to my National Insurance example, metaphorically speaking, National Insurance fixes the cars of the people who caused the accident and are the culpable Party.
National Insurance ..and we have it here also, is just taxation wearing a different suit. Being as I was in the public service, I paid it at a lower rate, but was then therefore ineligible for a number of benefits dental , eyetests glasses .
Of course the non insured driver will get nothing.. except if he is injured, he will be carted away in a public service ambulance and be operated on by public service medical staff, anywhere in Europe. His home country will be billed under the ECIH card scheme.

I sort of agree people shouldnt tell others to go and live elsewhere for holding certain opinions.... But you have knocked everything about our country for over 3 years now OG and held up the EU as some shining light and the standard to be achieved. I, m afraid that is very wrong and perhaps what you should do is take a drive around EU and take in Northwrn Spain, Marseille and the places off the beaten track. You, d be shocked. Many crime ridden, poverty stricken areas with very racist attitudes. Said it before but if you think our right racist you, d better stay here.
All this arguing is rather pointless now. We are leaving, Labour are dead and reading what is going on never likely to rise from the ashes.
The bubble has burst. The liberal luvvies silenced by a much more astute electorate than remainers / radical left suspect.
Didnt vote for Boris, dont like his track record but he could prove to be a good pm. He is trying to carry out his pledges, he only has to be seen to be trying to do so and he, ll keep those borrowed labour votes.
In mean time Labour bicker amongst themselves with McClyskey showing he, s still major player in there. Political suicide for entire Party. And amazingly some on here are happy our Labour party, our oppostion, our second party, has been hijacked by a radical narrow minded organisation but get upset where Boris goes for a party.
If there is a section of our political system that has been coerced and overun it certainly is not our right. Its the left, well whats left of it.
You haven't understood a word I say have you?

I have never said the EU is a shining example of anything, what I have said is that the EU is where the future lies and we depend on it to survive, and that the future for us is to be part of a United States of Europe.
You and others have discussed the internal situation in countries in the EU at great length, I have not.

Nor Have I knocked everything about our Country, that is you not reading my comments which criticise the following
The Government
The Conservative Party, Labour party and all the others too
House of Lords
Referendum
Leave Campaign/ false lies and promises
Disreputable and untrustworthy politicians
Wanting to live in the past.
The Banks
The Financial swindlers
Tax dodgers.
Human Greed
Stupidity
Incompetence
Short sighed policies based on Greed
Intolerance
Pollution
The dumb people who are conned into voting against their own interest.

Not once have I ever criticised this country or any part of it, only the actions of the natives.
And the natives are not in any way shape or form "This country" they just live here.
So much so that at last these natives are having to be brought to realise that their consumerist lifestyle is literally costing the Earth

The last post was connected to Karoo via a network cable and appeared to send. then vanished so I set the hotspot on my phone and tried again, it looks as though the message has been posted this time.
Karoo claims to be the bees knees, but frankly its lousy, the drawback is that apart from linking to a phone it has a monopoly on internet access in Hull

No we wont. They cant sell their properties. Know quite a few down there, they aint coming back. Spain needs them whatever happens. Southern Spain economy would collapse in a month without expat Brits. Benidorm would be a tiny fishing village again if we all left and stopped going. Its more English than Scarborough. Well a few Scots and Irish too.
Whats going to make them come home Wicki? Beer, wine, food, cigs all still cheaper. Still get menu del dia for 10 euro. Its still sunny. Brandy still dirt cheap. Time for a reality check. Your pension will still go further than at home in Marbella. Even with pound /Euro parity. And since house prices have collapsed there you can buy a cheap gaff. They let non EU citizens buy stuff you know. When I lived down there I was surrounded by Aussies. They aint in EU I, m sure. Money still spends.Whereever it comes from.
Puzzled as many expats in Spain voted for Brexit ('Will of the people') with all that in entails about curtailing free movement. Even if they stay in the future there'll be more residency paperwork / documentation required / proof of income etc.

These Leave Voters who live in Spain have just realised that the end to free movement also applies to them

Ha ha, try pitching up at a French or Spanish hospital with an injury, toothache or infection and saying, “Send the bill to the U.K.” No cash, no treatment is the EU way.

I would encourage anybody who does not like the situation here - to leave. Seriously. It will make the place much more pleasant for those that do like the situation here.
You really shouldn't make a comment like that, should you? do you imagine you somehow now have the right to that attitude? and all because of an election result?

Ofcourse it applies to them but wont stop them staying if they wish to do so. Folk from all overworld settle in Southern Spain, its main reason place is better off financially to the North. I really dont understand your point. Are you suggesting Spanish will kick them out? Ok, a few more forms to fill in but as anyone who has lived either in France or Spain thats nothing new. French adour paperwork, then after its all filled in....forget it.
I scrapped a car in Perpignan. Got all documentation, sent forms to insurance, govt departments, local mare.... Still got a speeding ticket for it 6 months after it had in theory been scrapped.
It won't affect expatsba jot. They are used to jumping through hoops for civil servants. As long as they get their pensions, sunshine, cheap food and booze they, ll be fine. Generally all come home after 9 years anyhow. Thats been case for years. Retire, 10 years in the sun come home for NHS and Sunday carvery.

If you are treated in a private facility (there are lots of private hospitals and doctors, most dental practices are private facilities). You pay first then may be able to claim some back from the UK. In France, google 'docteurs conventionnés' - google will list them locally for you. You pay only a small fees (20%).

Whereas we in the U.K. treat the “non policy holders” and fund that with the policy holders premiums.

My niece is going to work in New Zealand in the new year. She has to undergo a medical for pre-existing conditions and demonstrate that she has a way to fund her medical care, should she become ill. She’s affectively a non policy holder in New Zealand and I guess they are trying to protect their policy holders from the burden she would present if in need of medical care.

That seems like a good system, we should apply it to anyone entering the U.K.

It was our experience you paid the lot and then claimed back most of it. Used system 3 times. Same each time. (6 stitches in my head, not after a horse incident, cost £80...)Think we got £50 back. Not sure. Same with dental work. He would treat emergency (2 visits) then payment up front for any more.
What the rules say and how France operates are 2 different things.
