Pound still sinking re USD...

View attachment 33415
Are you a candle stick fan Oyster? Look at the fourth candle stick from the hard right edge, see how it could not close at the top of its range but instead half way down the range. Next day it tried to go up to that level again but could not reach the previous days high. Indicates lots of selling pressure, traders would have been shorting the pound when it failed to reach the previous days high. Good money to be made here but its much harder to do in real world rather than writing about it on a forum. Unless you have some inside information of course then that makes things a lot easier.

Don't take any notice OG, they're just putting the worst possible slant on it using factors.

You do the opposite with the best slant, 10 is only 2 in binary.
.
10 in binary represents a value of 2 in decimal, come on flecc. Any mathematician knows a sentence saying " 10 is 2"..is wrong...
In binary OG was out by a factor of
1010.....Sounds even worse.

OG! A factor of ten!

You should hang your head in shame, pick up a dunces cap from the dunces cap cupboard - and sit in the corner of the class until you feel sufficiently atoned.
I’m not the turkey who voted got Christmas. That was your doing

I’m not troubled by them, nor looking to blame someone else for my referendum decision.
I was right to vote for remain ,now the thing to do is Walt for the consequences of Brexit to bite

As I posted to Oxygen James on this link, I knew it was a lost cause long ago and Corbyn obviously lost the "giveaway" race with Johnson by going too far.

But like many others I don't want Labour to shift to the right Blair fashion just to get into power. There's no point in two parties introducing crippling Tory policies like PFI, as Blair did.
.
Labour will be out of office for an extended period of time if they don’t shift more to the centre. I think Tony Blair is the only Labour PM to win a GE in something like 45 years. It will be another 45 if something doesn’t give.

Metaphorically speaking, wealthy, posh southern luvies are knocking on the doors of northern working people and saying, “you are poor, you aren’t coping, I’m here to bestow help upon you.” Have you any idea how patronising, demeaning and insulting that is? There is no wonder Labour heartlands have turned Conservative, it should be no surprise.

All people want are a few opportunities, Corbyn is offering them charity and stolen goods (PAYE tax raid, theft of second homes, confiscated schools, confiscated investments, charity internet).

Johnson is closer to offering what these people want, opportunities to work, earn, save and invest.

I don’t want Brexit to happen, but it’s going to. I’ll have to deal with the consequences.

Those with a negative attitude always fail. They remain static, complaining.

Flecc was not talking about that - he was referring to the fact that you said Labour's share of the vote had gone down by 2%.

Facts suggest otherwise.

Or look at it this way:

Total Labour votes 2019: 10,292,354
Total Labour votes 2017: 12,878,460

How is that a 2% drop?
Thats a 20,1% drop. But doesnt take into account the 1.6% few overall votes. Told OG all this...
No idea where his 2% came from.

The odd thing about Labour electing leaders is that being in contention normally puts you out of it. Corbyn was not in running last time.
I think they will go for a complete newcomer. No previous arguments with McCluskey. No affiliation to remaining or ref2, oh and a female from outside London, preferably from ethnic minoriry.I wonder who that makes my favourite...

Not if I have anything to do with it he won't.

I just joined the Labour party - total cost so far £4.30 - and every month after that. So be it. I joined the Torys so that I could vote for Boris in their leadership election - and I want a say in Labour's LE too.

Personally I think Lisa Nandy is the pick of the bunch. We need a Labour leader with some charisma - Starmer has almost none.

We need a strong opposition - for the health of our democracy. Boris will not be beaten or challenged by anybody without some real energy and spirit - which I think Lisa has in buckets and with some half sensible policies (ie not nationalising everything that moves) - I'd even vote for her myself in a GE.

We shall see.
What a comic you are. and what an advert for the Adam Smith Institute that specialises in playing both sides against the middle to profit from disorder they generated.

I had read that that was the percentage who had actually voted Conservative and it seems it was wrong.
Never mind it gave you something to moan about eh?
Happy now?

But according to Lord OG - he will win!

Who are you to contradict the Anointed One?
Why does my choice induce this childish response?
"Who are you to contradict the Anointed One?!
I don't need your permission to state my choice.

Just vote for the Conservatives, you have made it clear you prefer them any way, so why whinge about a party you have no time for?
