Completely OT.
Had to visit Hull yesterday, Hessle specifically. Thought OG might like this. Whilst I was occupied my wife Googled "things to do in Hessle"
This genuinely was one of results.

Visiting an Ice Cream van is considered an attraction, even gets reviews.

Brilliant.

I give in, again, we should never have started this rubbish. Can we just ignore last 3 years, put it down to mass hysteria. Go back to good old Cameron.

What shall we do today Kids? I know lets visit the Ice Cream van at Hessle. If we are lucky OG will ride past on his Brompton. Cant wait.
Sorry Agnew. Can't wait.
And no mention of one of biggest bridges in Europe.??? Its just visible behind van.
Depends. If Abbyo's selling proper ice cream as it seems, rather than the insipid milk and gelatine mix that most ice cream vans sell these days, it's well worth a visit.

All the best for the impending heart operation. Is it bypass or new valve?

Simple, honest folk.

What is number 4? An inside toilet designed by our own lavatorial expert?
Obviously you still have nothing worthwhile to contribute to this thread, have you?
Aren't you supposed to be hanging around on street corners looking for a scoop today?

Well I've asked a few people here at Wesminister about the chances of a G.E and surprisingly to me the majority of folks here seem to think there will be one and the hot date is October 21st.
Working on the principle that Boris might get away with blundering for that long?

Anyone think BJ is looking not very well? Earlier there had been a piece about recovering alcoholics and they mostly looked better than he does. Increasingly heavy eyelids. Apparently poor skin.
I noticed this a few weeks ago when he did the one to one interview with Andrew Neil. I thought he looked a good 8 to 10 years older than he actually was.

Here are some quotes from Guy Verhofstadt in an opinion piece in The Guardian on the impact of a no deal Brexit.

"The few who may prosper are the wealthy bankers and hedge fund managers who have bet on chaos."

"The EU made a decision to stay out of the UK referendum, but we won’t be afraid to challenge populism and call out disinformation from across the Channel for what it is."

"We are re-entering another period of Brexit fever, with the most Eurosceptic cabinet ever formed. Paradoxically, the UK is at the same time calling for a European naval force to protect shipping lanes in the Persian Gulf, as the realities of an America-first foreign policy hit home. No amount of bluster, wishful thinking or fake news can hide the inherent contradictions of the Brexit project"

"A united Europe could be a bastion of the free world. Together we could become a global leader in tackling the climate emergency and set the terms of global trade. As an anglophile, I still believe the quiet majority of reasonable British people want to see their country engaged as Europeans. The bonds of our collective heritage are too strong for Johnson or Nigel Farage to break. "

It's a shame he couldn't have been more reasonable during the discussions pre the vote.

Boris isn't used to actually having to work
He does indeed look knackered, as John Wayne once remarked
"Ya look like ten miles of bad road"
