Will Boris Johnson's honeymoon end in humiliation tomorrow? The Prime Minister faces his first big electoral test as Tory expenses cheat Chris Davies looks likely to lose to the Lib Dems in the Brecon by-election
  • Lib Dems expected to overturn the Conservatives' 8,000 majority from 2017
  • Ex-MP Chris Davies was convicted of electoral fraud earlier this year
  • But he is standing for the party again despite being ejected by a recall petition
What is amazing about this is that the expenses issue seemed to be totally unnecessary! But he ploughed on and created fake documents.

We all know that regardless how bad the outcome it will be pinned on by elections being one-offs and, of course, the same result wouldn't occur in a GE.

Sorry to drag up the moon landings again, but it was debated a while ago.

The US space program fascinates me and I read a lot of material about it. I have recently been catching up on all the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 inspired programs on TV. I forget which mission to the moon it was (it wasn’t 11), but the US flag definitely flutters on the moon. I could accept that the astronaut holding the flagpole at the time might have caused the flutter via movement, but it flutters again with no one touching it as an astronaut walks past it. It’s as though the movement of the astronaut’s body causes a very slight displacement of air which is detected by the flag. As it would be on earth.

Also, on another mission, one of the astronauts casts two shadows onto the moon’s surface indicating two independent light sources. I’ve heard that one being explained as light being reflected off the LEM.

I believe the missions were genuine, but these two happenings do cause you to question how they occurred.

To be fair, some of the other parties have agreed not to field a candidate to give the Lib-Dems more chance of winning, So unless they agreed to do this in a GE, then the result wouldn't be the same.

He’s been in the job for about two weeks. Give him a chance FFS.

I’m not confident that he’s going to do much good, but everybody deserves a chance.
Why? this villain caused the problem and now he's trying to make it even worse.

You will remain anonymous until charged IF YOU HAVE A REPUTATION TO PROTECT!!!!

WTF qualifies as a “reputation?”

Is this a proposal for a new mechanism for “the establishment” and their chums to hide their wrongdoings?

These people know no depths of contempt for the general public.

A friend sends me a text asking: “Why does the BBC say the ‘risk’ of no deal instead of the ‘opportunity’ of no deal?” Anyone got an answer for him?#Brexit

·For the same reason they don’t talk of the “opportunity” of cholera.

Delighted to be in Bangkok for #ASEAN2019 on my first overseas trip as Foreign Secretary. Asia holds huge opportunities for the UK: @ASEAN region already worth £36bn per year in trade & there are opportunities for us to boost that even more to help UK businesses and consumers.

Is Dominic Raab taking us for fools? We ALREADY HAVE freetrade agreements with Japan, S.Korea, Vietnam&Singapore (&talks underway w Indonesia) via the EU’s trade agreements that HE WANTS US TO LEAVE! #Brexit would mean UK having to negotiate hard just to keep the status quo

In fairness, it will probably only take between five and ten years to either set them up, or end up back in the EU as a member.

Or it could be static electricity generated by the bulky space suit moving around the astronaut's internal clothing generating friction. The flag is no doubt of minimal weight, acted on by far less gravity on the moon to hold it down.

Any chance of him staying there?

The genus of this conspiracy came down to one man. I was reading about it recently. I'm heading into work now. Will try and dig it out for you. It will allay any fears you have .

Although it may have been something I watched on TV. Either way I will have a kook.

What problem? You mean the vote that didn't go the way you wanted?

That's your problem. You need to take ownership of that and deal with it.
I refer to the referendum which could not be annulled, even though the result had been illegally manipulated, as it was merely an opinion poll, being advisory only and therefore having no legal standing.
So in other words I object to losing my citizenship of the EU because the government employs stolen goods.

The Guardian had a piece referring to the views of Wales. Definitely stirring PC and others who might consider independence of England. Made me imagine an England surrounding by Wales and Scotland as independent countries, each members of the EU in their own right. As well as NI being either independent or (possibly) part of RoI (or whatever else is feasible).

You just repeat the same lies.

You are not convincing anyone. I doubt even yourself.

You are the textbook definition of madness.

Here is the article.

It just takes one idiot to repeat the same lie over and over again and eventually the more gullible folks start to believe it.

If only there was an example of it on here.....
