A question for you Zlatan.
How do you get away with threatening the EU with a No Deal Brexit, then ask for extra time?
 :D :( ;)
From the Daily Mail
Boris Johnson hints UK could remain in EU single market and customs union until 2021 in bid to avoid cliff edge exit

Even if they don't laugh, Putin will suffer a hernia!

Reader comment said it all in the Express

Weak in one week

Who, I ask , in their right mind voted to make the Liar king PM?

Ancient Rome took longer to fall from power, but I doubt they made as many people round the world laugh at them as we are doing.

We have become the laughing stock of the world, and all it has cost to ruin ourselves in the eyes of the world is a measly £600 million a week
https://economia.icaew.com/news/april-2019/brexit-costs-uk-600m-a-week

We should really put our minds to the problem of what we will do for an encore for the finale of the Brexit means Brexit show?
The rest of the former Roman Empire continued to operate using many standards which were intrinsic to that empire, including language!, for many years after, even to today in some areas.

No, whoever this "we" you are referring to are, the report says otherwise, read it and be properly informed on the subject rather than posting nonsense.
And by the way, though he is possibly your "friend" assuming he suffers fools gladly, but he isn't in "Stockholm"
He is certainly better informed and less insolent than you are.
Friend might be pushing it. Perhaps the only thing we share in common is the nationality of our spouses.

Today's Gaffe from the Liar King in the Telegraph

Boris Johnson says UK could stay in EU customs union and single market for two years after Brexit deadline

What happened to definitely leaving at Halloween?
As I posted the other day, give him a couple of weeks and he will be arguing to remain, but he has been quicker than I expected!
Is there any promise this liar will keep, any lie he won't tell?
He cannot do any of that without a deal. Crashout means crashing out.

he describes his deal, which is TM's deal assuming he gets some changes to to the backstop.
that does not mean that he'll get a deal done by Halloween.
it's nothing new.

His epitaph on leaving office is crystal clear already after his visit to Scotland

"He came in like a lion and went out like a Boris Johnson (through the back door)"
will pass into popular legend;)

I think the only persons pleased with his performance so far are on a very short list.
The EU
Nigel Farage
Aaron Banks
Vladimir Putin
And even possibly Jeremy Corbyn but then, how can one know what he wants?

The EU will need to replace £349 billion, the UK around £60 billion less.
Nonsense. Trade will continue under WTO rules, but the UK will lose the 50% that's our services we supply the EU countries with.

We are the net loser.

And for the umpteenth time I remind you that the EU loses no trade since it isn't a country. Any loss for mainland Europe is split 27 ways, our loss we suffer alone.

I think the opposite. The EU has already got all the necessary legislation to treat the UK like the USA whereas we are trying to create a special status for the EU to avoid friction.
I give you a simple example:
If I want to send a parcel from Shenzhen to Southend, it has to be done by DHL and will take 2-3 days because of the paperwork. The same parcel can be posted from Paris or collected by DPD Europe and no paperwork.
Now try to see how we are going to make Shenzhen as easy as Paris.
If we get there, we win big but it's not going to happen on the 1st November.
I get where you're coming from, but am not sure frictionless trade with Shenzhen means we win big. Can you imagine the ramifications of a free trade deal between us and China? Their free access to our market putting all local manufacture out of business, chinese companies hoovering up local assets, chinas far larger economy and global domination meaning we accept their rules, standards without question. With some luck we'd end up like Ethiopia in all but name a chinese colony.

we will have developed technical solutions to WTO trades to avoid clogging up the system.
At present, every parcel from China by DHL involves several emails because I cannot input directly the information in advance.
Regulations and tariffs are normal business costs, they affect buying and selling prices but costs can be mitigated by exchange rates.

Yes although I imagine streamlining the administrative process is possible within eu trade agreements with china (which protect local manufacture as much as that in say France or germany)?

Completely OT.
Had to visit Hull yesterday, Hessle specifically. Thought OG might like this. Whilst I was occupied my wife Googled "things to do in Hessle"
This genuinely was one of results.

Visiting an Ice Cream van is considered an attraction, even gets reviews.

"Good old cameron"? He got us into this mess. And given more rope would have triggered bigger crises. What on earth are you visiting Hull for? Can't you spend summers in italy like a civilised person?
