OG was the only one at the start of this thread to correctly predict that the referendum would be won by Leave.

And since then he's consistently said he hopes we do leave to teach the leave voters a lesson with the consequences. That's partly what he's doing in the post you answered, not becoming a leaver himself.

There's far more to OG than many in this thread realise.
.
I'm not even a a pretty face you know!

Woosh, The UK has run out of rope on this one. The EU might be willing .. although not a slam dunk, to extend the extension yet again, if there were a decision from the UK,and stating No No Deal does not cut it. Also the UK has to REQUEST the extension, and who speaks for the UK if not the PM?. If the UK were by some miracle or catastrophe (depending on ones view point),to enact the WA, then, any extension would be irrelevant as the negotiations would be moving into the next phase.
it's not enough to enact the WA to brexit. There are 4-5 large pieces of legislation (bills) to pass after that and before we leave. That's why it's pie in the sky to say that we'll leave with a deal before or on 31st October.

Once passed, the Withdrawal Agreement Bill will:

  • Keep parts of the European Communities Act in force for the duration of the transition period. This will allow the UK to update its statute book to reflect new EU laws that come into force in the transition, and will preserve the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice
  • Make citizens’ rights provisions of the withdrawal agreement directly enforceable in the UK so that EU citizens in the UK can enforce those rights in the UK courts
  • Create an “independent monitoring authority” to police the UK’s compliance with the citizens’ rights part of the withdrawal agreement at the end of the transition period
  • Give the Withdrawal Agreement, and any EU law incorporated into the Withdrawal Agreement, a form of “supremacy” over UK law
  • Give the UK courts new instructions on their relationship with the European Court of Justice
  • Give ministers powers to make payments to the EU under the “financial settlement” (the divorce bill).
It will also have to set out a domestic process for the commencement of the Irish border backstop.
Even for No Deal brexit, there will need to be a series of bills to be passed:

He's awesome. :)
As in the scene from the film the Robe, where John Wayne has the line
"Truly he is the son of God!"
And he doesn't quite do it to the director's satisfaction , who shout's through his megaphone
"For God's sake put some awe into it!"

John Wayne takes a deep breath and with feeling responds loudly.
"Awe! truly he is the son of God!"

The pound isn’t doing very well against holiday money. Paying for a full English & a pint of lager to wash it down is going to sting next time I’m on The Costa.

We’ve been here before though.

Oh, yes ofcourse, he picked winner in a 2 horse race. Nostradamus lives in Hull and sells bogs for a living.
To be fair to Gerald he has posted more on here than Nostradamus wrote in Les Prophities, when you post so much, something by laws of averages must be right. His sharing out of fishing cash was one of his low ebbs.

Remember when he thought a million people were tuning into his posts?

Priceless

If the UK did pass the WA, then the other elements would fall into place. If the UK Crashes out ,then as far as we 450 million are concerned, any internal legislation you bods need is your own business.

Funny ...that was not what was said or implied. What is not funny is that is what you choose to regurgitate.
Extrapolation from 1M views to 1M different viewers is your invention . And would be catagorised under False News.. ie it could be possibly true, however unlikely.

Its easy to criticise Boris but I do suspect EU will bend more now they think he, d take us out under no deal. Dont think there is any point in asking for further extension or granting it if we do. EU really dont want no deal, their budget for next year is short under one. They have spent the divorce sweetener already.

Nobody remembers that Fingers, because it never happened.
Reality check folks remember Fingers is a fake.

This was what actually happened
I posted that the site had achieved one million hits

An idiot (Fingers) was simple minded enough to try a confidence trick as follows

Fingers suggested I thought a million people were tuning into my posts.
Then tried to kid us there were actually 300 that checked the site 50 times a day.

He is still simple minded enough to think that if he repeats the same lie, time after time, either someone as simple minded as himself will fall for it, or he will annoy me.

Fingers, m ay I remind you that this thread is called Brexit for once some facts?
So far you don't seem to have any to offer, try to find some instead of being tedious with repeatedly posting these primary school jibes of yours?

Basically it looks more like my prediction that May's deal will go though is a real prospect.
No one seems to have a alternative, and it will give the Liar King what he wants, something he can pass the blame for.

Give your head a wobble soft lad.

There's more chance of me opening the batting against Australia tomorrow than that.

Do you read the news?

I know right. Any sane person with a brain would realise that.

But here we are.

It was funny though.

Darn it but this has to be said: Boris - so far - is playing a blinder with the EU. Finally somebody who knows how to play poker. But here on this list there's almost nobody who can see this because so many are blinded by their previous attitude to the man. Even Fingers. I shake my head with despair.

He is playing a blinder.

He is basically saying - look - we're willing to talk. The old 'agreement' is dead. It never had a chance. Its gone. Like the dead parrot scene from Monty Python.

The EU says oh no its either that or no-deal.

So Boris - playing a blinder - says - well if that's your view then if we 'crash-out' without a deal its down to you then.

And he's right. He is 100% correct in that. We ARE willling to talk. If they refuse - then it is down to them.

And to cap it off - he is stating the obvious - which is that the next move is theirs.

After the shambolic May and whatever idiots ran the negotiation when she was around - wow - what a breath of fresh air.
