I assume a joke but if not: Prior to his election to Speaker, he was a member of the Conservative Party.
True, but not in heart. He started early in life as a far to the right conservative but continuously moved to the left over time, leading him to vote against Tory three line whips, resigning from the front bench and at one point threatening to join the Labour party.

That's why the Tories have long been suspicious that in his speaker's role he acts against their interests, believing him to now have Labour's interests at heart. Certainly his current actions look that way.

Youre trolling is, literally, so unimaginative.

Bad syntax. Bad grammar. Did you actually finish school or are of an age where you could leave if you had a job at 14? But you are right in a sense.

I should have said hamster.

Anyway. This is a good read. Toynbee can be a bit worthy and is fully paid up remain frother of the mouth but this take down of May is first class. And unlike @flecc she isnt being misogynistic in her appraisal of her disastrous tenure.

Bercow doesnt know wether he's Tory or Labour. He started of Tory but switched, sort of. He ignored Tory whips and resigned from tory front bench. Brown appointed him as an adviser under Labour.
Only person he represents is himself, he held record for house flips fot a while, avoiding CGT... Not very socialist...

Let's be honest here. He became Labour when Sally is it? Allowed him to have sex with her.

She is very new Labour and for him to whet his whistle as it were he needed to prove himself.

Now he is a hamster unleashed.

What’s all this about her trying to get that wretched deal voted on for a third time? Hasn’t The Speaker ruled that she can’t bring that pale of shite into the house again?

Just cancel Brexit or go for a 40 year extension to A50. We tried, we failed, we confirmed our country is run by imbeciles. It’s time to focus onto another lost cause which no one has the talent to fix, the NHS for example.

she can, pretending that this time, the vote is only on the withdrawal agreement, not them same as last time (which included the 20-page political declaration waffle)

Wasnt Bercow the one who sanctioned desyroying MPs expense claims.
Sometimes wonder if they get buildings mixed up, Wormwood intead of Westminster.
Its strange how we tolerate people incapable of being MPs running country but take your car to garage and if some of these took your car keys you d grab them back and go elsewhere. And before somebody points out the irony in my criticising many of our MPs, the MEPs are worse, and there are loads more of them.
If Diane Abot, Nick Boles, Farage, Corbyn and so many others were in charge at my grandkids school I, d insist on them moving..
And nothing to do with his anti Brexit stance, I think Bercow is worst of the lot. He, s a pompous gloating fool with a loud mouth.

I could agree with the loud mouth bit.. I can see a summer disco hit where the word " Division " and " UnLock" feature strongly.

The argument hasn't gone away.

Let's get it straight. We own Europe. The small folk look to us.

We cocked this because we have the weakest people in charge ever. We have embarrassed ourselves.

We could have been the beacon Europe needed but no. Because of cowardly remainers and insipid tories we cocked it.

I feel shame.

From the Daily Mirror Labour's suicide note
"
Brexit: Second referendum blocked by just a handful of Labour MPs
MPs were given the chance to vote on eight options - but chose none of them
People's Vote campaigners were left furious tonight after it emerged a second referendum would have got a majority if Labour MPs hadn't voted against it.
The Indicative Vote motion on a second referendum was just 27 votes short of a majority - exactly the same number as Labour MPs who voted against it.
At least five Labour frontbenchers were spared the sack for defying orders and failing to vote for a second referendum option.
Jeremy Corbyn ’s top team were whipped to support the motion tabled by Dame Margaret Beckett, which requires any Brexit deal to face a public vote.

As far as I am concerned it is unlikely in the extreme that I will ever vote again
What is the point?
This organisational structure that is allegedly serving the country is out of control and running amok.
They have managed to let down every man woman and child in the country, and did it not by waging war against an external enemy, but among themselves ,reducing us, the people into mere collateral damage of no consequence to them.

What the hell are you on about with "we own Europe"?
You have brought this embarassment on us by voting without thinking through what was bound to happen.
It's idiocy like that in the notion that "We could have been the beacon Europe needed"
To do what ? create chaos as we told you would happen, and you still blame remainers for your ludicrous isolationism?
We have provided Europe with a beacon alright, don't follow idiots as so many did here.
Unfortunately as you have proved, some slower witter folk still think they did the right thing.
You have embarassed all of us, own up to your responsibilty.

Bercow...in other times I probably cant stand the guy....but at the moment he is correct, you cannot keep bringing the same deal back over again, just threatening more MP's to sign.
Boris and Mogg have got to be the most hideous form of politician...when Boris got a sniff that May would go if her deal passes,he decides to vote for her deal like a shark circling a dying fish. But when he realises her deal wont pass he comes out slagging it off,yet the Tory conservative members love him, strange lot??
Mogg is the same but for different reasons.
I suspect this lot were always equally hideous, its just Brexit now showcases their faults.
Ken Clarke's customs union almost got passed, that would have been a politically useful milestone.
KudosDave

So well put......

But what of Boris Johnson, who has spent months calling the deal “vassalage”, “slavery” and so on, culminating in a porphyric Telegraph column on Monday in which he channelled Moses in Exodus to demand: “LET MY PEOPLE GO”. Following May’s resignation promise, this same Boris Johnson announced he will now be voting for the deal. Yes – huge soz to the Israelite slaves, obviously, but it turns out Moses is going to try his luck on the Egyptian career ladder after all. Bum around court a bit, knock up a couple of the Pharaoh’s daughters, tell a few hundred off-colour jokes. But you guys go ahead and he’ll totally catch you up. Save him a place in the middle of the sea. If it helps, he’s written two opposing versions of the Ten Commandments. I know! Classic Moses.

Maybe. Then they look to us to provide them with money to heat and feed their families.

Bless these small folk we are so benevolent and don't want to be their masters and ask for servitude anymore.

We are a good people.

I'm proud to count myself amongst them.
