What is there not to love about this.

The fact that is is a pack of lies disproved by the success of the American Dollar, where different states have huge differences of income?
According to this fool America should have imploded years ago.
Greece's situation is of their own making, not the EU's.

It is simply Bull, nothing more, nothing less, delivered in an insulting manner by a loud mouthed Moron, who manages to cherry pick bits and pieces from the right wing press and repeat the lies, his expertise is as limited as his attendance record is, except of course when it is necessary either to mouth off, or collect expenses.

Are you really asserting you find this man anything other than a mere arrogant loud mouthed yob?

Great joke, I dutifully laughed. :p

There is indeed a message coming out over Europe and it is "Thank goodness we will be rid of the UK trouble makers, and their Obnoxious loud mouth Buffoon Farage!
Even the name of the Group he heads is as weird as he is, he has no interest whatsoever in Europe in any shape or form so to call it "Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy" is not simply a pack of lies, it is worse than that, for how can a man who rants on that the EU commisioners are not properly elected, Elect himself to chair a party that the people who put him up as an MEP have never even heard of, they have no mandate whatever, no manifesto and in fact are a complete fabrication.
If ever there was proof that the man is a charlatan there it is.
Chairman of a Political movement that exists only among the fools who have elected themselves into it.
They allege themselves to be a movement that cares about the Politics of Europe and they are simply intent on destroying the EU
No one at all has ever voted that Farage should form, belong or support this group, which clearly has an unknown agenda that has never been revealed to the UK voters who supported him.

I have checked the UKIP manifesto, which makes no reference whatsover to this mysterious UNELECTED group, neither does it appear on their MEP website.

How much more proof is needed that the man is a fantasist and liar? he belongs to an unelected Political Group that allegedly has interests in the EU far wider than the remit the mugs in the UK gave him on the basis of the UKIP manifesto? which was simply to get us out.

Only a fool would fail to see exactly what this man is and actually approve of him.
Come on tillson a man of your intelligence is above falling for that baloney, you are just having a joke.

I'm not sure that the Dollar can be used as an example to illustrate the success of a single currency across a multitude of different countries with vastly differing cultures. The USA is of course a single country made up of a number of states, some of which are as large as countries, but it is a single country.

The EU and the Euro is completely different. That is made up of vastly different cultures, economies and historical customs and practices. This has all been thrown into a giant pressure vessel and and the pressure increased in the hope that it will all fuse together. Unfortunately, fusion will never happen. It's going to explode instead.

They should have left the EU at the stage of being a trading block.

I see that Merkel is hastily back-pedalling on her I'll thought out utterly crazy migrant policy. Funny now that she has been kicked right in the polling booth it doesn't seem such a good idea and she is, "trying to distance" herself from the policy.

She is now saying that they didn't have "enough control." Well Roger me rigid, isn't this what critics of her policy were saying at the time and in return were being labelled as racists? I thought she was a big fan of immigration, unrestricted movement of people and all that goes with it.

It was a stupid idea at the time, it's still a stupid idea and I hope the rise of AfD continues and wipes her out. She's an idiot.

I don't think she is an idiot. History may prove her right in the long term.
By taking charge of the refugees, the EU grows its strategic importance. One day, the USA can't start wars where it likes like it does today.

Trex, I think that is an excellent point, particularly with regard to the self-appointed world policeman, the USA.

Merkel is certainly no idiot and the German nation has done far more than their fair share of resettling refugees in recent times. Of course, not all Germans are over the moon about the huge influx but that is only to be expected, especially when their people look around and see that some other nations really aren't playing their part.

The EU is just such an important player in world affairs, it will not be allowed to disintegrate and I would rather be part of that team than isolated in a political and economic wilderness.

I think that the only thing that history will prove is that her migration policy was, is and always will be a disaster and something that the UK should be no part of.

I can't see how opening the borders and relinquishing absolutely all control over who and how many enter the country is a good idea. In fact it's a crime against the German people because they didn't want it to happen and she should be punished for such recklessness. The polls are starting to indicate the sense of betrayal felt by the people of Germany.

It's very telling to now see this great advocate of a borderless EU trying to separate herself from her act of lunacy. If she could, I'm sure she'd shove the aftermath of her crime onto the UK in order to try and recover in the polls. She should be standing up and taking responsibility for the damage she has done to her country, not trying to back-pedal. Although, her behaviour over this issue and subsequent actions come as no surprise to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing her get her polling box stuffed in next year's elections. One of the most disgusting betrayals of a nation in recent years.

I'm afraid you are fundamentally mistaken and proven to be twice over. What Angela Merkel has done is a very good idea and the predictable small "c" conservative response of her populace doesn't change that fact.

The USA adopted this policy, strikingly stated on their Statue of Liberty:

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

and then became the most powerful and successful nation on earth due to the enterprise and ingenuity of the immigrants who became proud to call themselves Americans.

And London has followed suit, having well over half its population not white British born and indisputably the most successful part of the UK by far.

But she now seems to be indicating that it wasn't such a good idea and I think that what Merkel did wasn't the same as what the USA did in its early years.

The indications are that the German people don't feel happy about her actions either. They didn't want and still don't want a big influx of people. It's looking likely that they are going to make their disapproval known to her in the elections too.

There are some deep divisions between some of the migrant / refugee groups. Deeply rooted seething resentment exists, probably for good reason, but it's not healthy for that to play out in the country of refuge.

Sorry but your knowledge of history is not complete as America was composed of 13 different English speaking colonies , before it absorbed others, not all of the same nationality
That story is incomplete–by the time Englishmen had begun to establish colonies in earnest, there were plenty of French, Spanish, Dutch and even Russian colonial outposts on the American continent the 13 separate eastern seaboard English colonies formed the nucleus of the United States and absorbed the rest by Purchase, annexation and various underhand means.
The same differences were present there and it didn't matter .
And lets look at Germany, were no less than 39 different states that frequently warred with each other formed a united state.
Your idea that this sort of thing cannot happen Europe wide is nothing more than wishful thinking, given the lie by the facts of History.
Sorry tillson you are way off the mark with that idea.

Well at least there is one bit of good news today
"
‘Boris Johnson-backed idea’ to recommission Royal Yacht Britannia sunk by Downing Street"
:D
And an interesting ~Poll result in the Independent
Brexit: Half of Leave voters think the Government won't get a good deal with the EU

But surely it would be a good idea to also ask whether they care or not? the result is meaningless otherwise.

Of course, temporarily since she's a politician and there's an election to win!

I think that what Merkel did wasn't the same as what the USA did in its early years.
It was exactly the same, read that inscription I quoted and see how precisely it fits those who perilously crossed the Med and journeyed to Germany.

The indications are that the German people don't feel happy about her actions either.
As I said, predictable small "c" conservatism, common to all the world's peoples who by instinct resent change. Countries cannot be governed by such sentiments which prevent any solutions for problems and block all progress, so those who govern ignore them.

Absolutely Flecc! In the case of London, there are millions of foreign-born, adopted Britons, many with children and grandchildren born here. The vast, vast majority are hard-working tax-payers, contributing towards the treasury rather than diminishing the wealth of the nation. That's why London is such a great city today and it is no surprise at all that the voting population of our capital city preferred to remain in the EU in the referendum.

Rewriting History is a new talent for the Right wing Press (Express of course)
"
Absurd' Juncker blasted for claiming Sir Winston Churchill was an EU federalist
AN ATTEMPT by Jean Claude Juncker to claim Winston Churchill as part of the EU federalists club has been ridiculed as “absurd”.

Amazing that they try to ignore Churchills actual words
"We must build a kind of United States of Europe."
So I added a comment this is the result

Your comment is awaiting moderation
Another Blatant lie
Churchills exact words were
We must build a kind of United States of Europe.

Why is this paper publishing lies?

Care to guess if it will pass the Mods?

the Brexit campaigners lied to us all.

There has emerged an extremely unpleasant and very right wing number of people since the vote; for example, I met a Brexiteer the other day who assured me that my children and grandchildren would be so much better off, now the immigrants have to leave. He also told me that "at least 40% of" my area is "neo-fascist".

Frankly, I'm scared. And we haven't left the EU yet.

Rubbish. Making migrants leave never was and never will be part of BREXIT. That's just smearing by sore losers. Ignore them.

Yet, the 'Brexidiots' deny they are racist!

Every single economic argument for leaving the EU has been torn to shreds by people expert in the field of economics; every piece of propaganda concerning the redistribution of money once we stop paying our EU subs has been demolished;

The world knows that the 'Brexit' proponents lied through their teeth yet the 'Brexidiots' cannot bring themselves to admit their whole premise for leaving the EU is based on the most monstrous lies and that they have been hoodwinked. Why is that? It is quite simply because they are all racists; there is no other reason why British people with even limited intelligence would wish to divorce this country from the EU.

A fascist government supported by a fascist media creates the optimum potential for the growth of right-wing extremism and history has many examples that we should have learned from. Unfortunately, the rise of fascism has always ended in tears for the countries which have permitted it to go unchecked as well as the damage to other countries and the human sacrifice involved.

'Brexit' is the wet dream of the warmongering scum who manifest themselves in all sorts of sham political party guises with members who bring shame to the country by pretending to be committed football fans.

If you want to know what it's all about, look no further than the likes of 'Britain First', 'UKIP' and the many other racist groups touting their hatred in various websites.

Well they had better start making children then to replace their ageing population if they want to retire before 70. Ah! They are too old to have children, now that could be a problem...
