Brexit, for once some facts.

Thought your choice of quote was very selective. You are doing precisely what you accuse Daily Mail of doing...being biased.
We dont know all facts and public probably never will. IMO ( for what its worth) I think Putin knows all about it. If someone acted without his knowledge...well they,d get same treatment..( you asked)
I,m a football supporter but dont think we should be going to World cup. The drug scandal ( with Putin's knowledge and blessing) was enough to make my mind up, this just reinforces that opinion. ( The programme about Russia's involvement with drugs tells us everything about Putin's view of sport. It is similar to Hitler's in 30's.
Why is it that you accuse me of doing the very next thing that you do?
Why is it being biassed to point out the obvious?

I could give you a detailed list,of the inconsistencies in this story, but as usual, you have jumped to the conclusion you were intended to reach, haven't you?

All I did was point out that the story is full of holes, and it is.
I have no axe to grind over Putin, apparently you have. and jaughably after all that you accuse me of being biassed?
I am, against being fed a pack of convenient lies not backed up by any evidence, sorry but your opinion doesn't exactly amount to that, does it?

It is ironic that Brexit is at the point of no return, yet the Salisbury poisoning suggests that we need to be closer to Europe,we need the might of combined Europe/UK to stand up to Putin.
To be fair, that’s very true. The talk of solidarity, a united front and togetherness did make me think exactly the same thing.

The thought of the U.K, on it’s own, threatening Russia is laughable. It becomes hysterical when you remember that this government are responsible for major cuts to our armed forces too. It is literally unbelievable.

From the Independent
"
Theresa May has outlined the Government's response to the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in Salisbury.

The Prime Minister said 23 Russian spies will be expelled from the UK - the biggest expulsion in more than 30 years..

Can anyone explain if we know where these "Russian Spies" are
What are they doing here?

And why won't May send samples of the Nerve agent to Russia as protocol demands?

This whole affair stinks of a put up job

"
Jeremy Corbyn's spokesman just finished a briefing that will likely be widely reported today and tomorrow, writes Political Editor Joe Watts.

He fleshed out the Labour leader's position, effectively saying Mr Corbyn does not yet believe he has seen enough evidence to point the finger of blame at the Russian state in the way that Theresa May did in the Commons just now.

Furthermore he cast aspersions on the evidence that is there, raising Iraq and WMDs as reasons to be suspicious over intelligence evidence presented to the public.

He also repeated a theory which has been promoted by the Russian state; that after the break-up of the Soviet Union, military hardware made its way into the hands of various different groups and that might explain the Salisbury incident."

We have been "HAD" big time by our Government before, haven't we?

Yes, right OG. Daily mail says its not bias, Tom says he,s not a bigot and Putin claims he knows nothing about drug scandal ( personally) or this poisoning..

You were bias in selection of your correspondant. I saw same comments, majority were anti Russian pro our government ...but no doubt you,d sooner have following than our government.
"INTRODUCTION

The Russian political system is one of the more recent to embrace democracy but remains deeply flawed in terms of its democratic credentials, overwhemingly tainted by corruption, and massively influenced by the power and personality of one man, Vladimir Putin.

The Russian Federation was the largest nation to emerge from the break up of the Soviet Union in December 1991. Following the constitutional crisis of 1993, Russia adopted a new constitution in a referendum of December 1993. Essentially the country is described as a federal presidential republic. "

I,m sure Putin would welcome such as you and Tom with open arms. I,m sure you,d raise cash to get there quick...I,d certainly contribute to fund your defection. I wonder how long you,d last and what you would think of Russian government.

I could give you a detailed list of the inconsistencies in this story.
And not just inconsistencies.

In this story as with the Litvinenko one, the very obviousness throws it into extreme doubt. Russia has the brains, the ability, the agents and the shared technologies to assassinate untraceably, so why would they on both occasions use a method that pointed directly to them?

Take the Litvinenko nonsense. The world's annual production of polonium 210 at that time was some 96 grams from two sources, 2.5 grams from the USA and all the rest from Russia who had the right facilities to produce it. Would they really use something that had such an obvious pointer to themselves? Of course not.

Add to that the lie at the time that access to it was very difficult when as a Home Office licenced user for 22 years I bought those isotypes freely at the time and they were widely used in the newsprint trade.

Then add the lie that where the polonium 210 had been present was detectable from it's radioactivity trail when it absolutely is not.

I've no idea who killed Litvinenko, but whoever it was wanted the crime to point directly to Russian responsibility, and the current events in Salisbury echo that situation.

So folk would say what you are ???

Whatever our opinions on who is responsible its obvious to us all Corbyn has made yet another blunder. His own MPs are saying he should have kept quiet.I thought his strength was sitting on fence; Galloway was on radio this morning making labour even more unelectable... When are labour going to realise country does not want extreme left...in any way shape or form. Its exactly why we are stuck with other extreme. Every single time Corbyn walks straight into oblivion.

And are you conspiracy theorists actually trying to say our government arranged this poisoning to make labour look unelectable. That is absolutely utterly barmy .
This government couldn't run a whelk stall, so you are always telling us. They cant enter negotiations without telling adversaries all they need to know...but somehow they can poison people in broad daylight and keep it all under wraps...I dont think so.

You apparently have lost the ability to actually read my comments, and instead use your imagination.

I am no Fan of Putin, why should I be?and there you go, doing the Tory thing of trying to make me out a Putin supporter.

Why do you do this? it is infantile and stupid.

I have never commented on the Russian Govenment have I? so where to do you get this nonsense that somehow I am a fan of their system?
Actually I don't give a damn how they run their country, for why should I?

In future if you haven't anything rational sensible and above all relevant, rather that using your imagination, don't just post rubbish.
You simply make yourself look stupid.

I am very suspicious about this poisoning issue. If the Russian state were behind it, why would they use such a traceable measure to kill someone? This leaves their fingerprints all over the scene in such a clumsy manner that it’s possible to believe that they are being set up. Apparently this poison has been around since the 1970s, so that means It could’ve been stored in any one of a number of places which are now out of Russian control. We know they have lost significant amounts of radioactive material this way , so why not this nerve agent too?

The issue also provides a welcome distraction for the Conservative party and the mess that they are making of Brexit. The ungodly creature which haunts number 10 will also be viewing this as an opportunity to appear strong and stable.

This unbelievably clumsy and amateurish attempt to kill someone provides far too many opportunities and advantages in certain quarters, and that makes me very suspicious indeed.

As usual you are writing nonsense!
A dialog with Russia makes complete sense, not this school playground threatening that we can't back up, and it serves only to make the simple minded think how wonderful our Government is for being "Strong and stable"
And who are you to pronounce what the country wants?
Time you applied the same strictures you would lay on others to yourself.

Some very current snippets from elsewhere on social media:

Tory: "We're looking at upgrading our ability to
deal with chemical attacks"

Public "How come we don't already have a specialist regiment to deal with them?"
Tory: "We used to have one, Labour introduced it in 1999"
Public: "What happened to it?"
Tory: "We disbanded it in 2011"

It's all about leadership so what has Frankie Boyle got to say about that?

So where are we at today? This is what I read recently:

'Brexit is going to ****. There is no solution in sight when it comes to the NI border, she's being torn asunder by the factious split within her party, the Gibraltar headache is coming right for her. Thank god for Russia!'...

Seems like tory politics have never changed!
