This is perhaps the crux of the matter? We are not the EU and truth be told have never really bought into its aims and ambitions which is why we are at the point we are - wanting out. Sorry leaving.
Not we, just a bunch of nut cases who have conned the public with lies onto believing they want to leave too

The 'not me' bit was correct. Indeed, agree the last sentence could be interpreted that way but that wasn't what was intended. Change is never easy that's why we rarely see it and arguably why we often end up in the wrong place(s). Fiddling while Rome burns is a good analogy and the more I read the earlier thoughts of Pete North the better it sounds. You might also be right that it is indeed optimistic and if our politicians continue to act the way they have over Brexit then all the more likely to end in yet more tears before common-sense prevails. I think that is essentially what Pete North is saying?
I fully accept your assurances that you have not disregarded as inconsequential the views of 48% of the UK voters. And my last comment was tongue in cheek at bit. However the fundamental truth behind it of the UK turning it's back on the biggest market, and social experiment of treating 500 million as equal in a capitalist yet socially cohesive union, is something I wanted to draw attention to.
The analogy about fiddling as Rome burns , I find particularly apt. Both in UK politics and in a lot of the comment on this thread. Whether May, Corbyn , Johnson or any other person arranges the deckchairs in lines or circles is irrelevant. , The British ship of state is rudderless and drifting... I could develop the analogy but it's probably clear enough.
Britannia is enthralled by Brexit... And not in a nice way. Trolls do enthralling...

You think they could work out which one to climb in - let alone do it?
Doesn't make any difference now. Unless Tories and Labour relinquish power to Clegg..
But since Gods country is now destined for independence ( without actually asking if anybody wants it) looks like me and,OG might get another vote.( Well if Hull is actually in Yorkshire this week)
World has gone mad...
Who would have guessed 10 years ago...Trump..Brexit,Kim Jong, and a King of Yorkshire...eeee by gum...

Listened to Nick Clegg trying to raise his career from oblivion this morning. How much support do posters see him getting.
Seems a strange scenario when two of the least popular mp,s in our history ( or is that 3 if we include VC) are the voices championing remain.
Tony Blair, Vince Cable and Nick Clegg , that's a stunning combination..
All has beens...and only one really was. That 48% just cant find leader...A shame really...or is it a sham?
If this were some novel by a certain sleasy ex mp it would never be taken seriously...more fiction that not a penny more.
And your point is what, exactly,?

You really have an attitude problem don't you? So people from Rotherham are dim in your estimation?

No, he was making a joke of me...for changing my mind...again don't worry , you wont understand that concept either..but thanks for defending Rotherham,s honour...
But its a difficult task...apparently Rotherham doesn't want Yorkshire independence. They don't want to move to Spain.

Sorry, I hadn't realised you came from there - but I do have loads of attitude which I put down to having run around much of the Yorkshire moors in my younger days.

Arranging deckchairs - now that is a worthwhile job and there are many people that seem do it for a living/existence. Sad thing is that it seems to be an important job attracting some of the best brains in the country. Reminds me of setting the tables for a formal dinner when all the knives and forks had to be just so, along with most other things, chairs, napkins, glasses - you name it, they had to be n the right place before anything could begin. We so need a leader don't we, won't be pretty that's for sure. Leader's never go backwards though, we're out of here (EU).

Again being selective is not accepted on here. Broad sweeping statements are required.
Its in forum rules.
No he just needs to make sensible arguments, something you have always stumbled with.
