Sound advice anotherkiwi. I'd fear tanking it up to 20A paired with 48V battery could over egg out slightly to the detriment of lifespan. Also, are Greenway happy to warranty the motor etc. If these changes are made, or are you not bothered about that for the experimental fun you'll be having...

If you have access to another 48V battery, try process of elimination starting with the battery. From what you say and coupled with Fordulike's input it does sound like battery issue rather then the BBS02.

I see. Do you know if they checked any of the strings or individual cells within the battery at the same time? Kind of false economy to replace BMS if the cells are near to the end of their usable life.

Why was the BMS replaced?

I looked into bikes with Bafang Max drive towards the end of last summer. The advice I received (from the Chinese manufacturer) regarding whether the programming was the same as with the BBSxx motors was that it was not. No option to add throttle either. More than happy to buy some orthopaedic...
