Confused..530w Brose motor legal in the U.K.?

As flecc says above. The 'marketing stunt' and 'more power by year' spiel are new one on me. I think I might want a Levo too, now I've heard that! Sent from here to there with computer wizardry.

Saw this earlier too. Big up the eMTB! Sent from here to there with computer wizardry.

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Very true. Quality control and TQM are so important. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and being abreast of new materials/technologies as they become available. It could all be poppycock and simply a terribly cheap rip off imitation of the BBS range that's not fit for purpose [emoji51] Sent...

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Haha, yes indeed! I heard that the design engineer involved with the bbsxx motors at Bafang now works at Yoch. Really don't know how much truth there is in it? They do look ridiculously alike! Again it's 'apparently', but all internal components are identical and interchangeable with Bafang bbs...

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Of course, that's a given. :) This is it. http://www.jhyoch.com/MD-M12-1000W-mid-drive-motor-kits-pd900594.html Apparently it's identical in every way to the BBSHD, apart from casing markings etc. obvs. The display looks different, but apparently they are plug and play compatible with all Bafang...

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Wouldn't surprise me, Mr D8ve sure knows his stuff! Have any of you heard of the YOCH BBS style (copy) motors? I have a 48V 1000W crank drive system arriving from them soon and wondering whether that may have a separate gear sensor input, and what they are like in general? Have any of you seen...

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Absolutely. Would the speed of the actual stop will be down to 'time of stop' and 'stop decay' settings within the controller, so same whether it's a brake cut out or a gear sensor that's making the request? As I understand it (tests to confirm imminent) it is the time delay before the motor...

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Speaking with the guys at gearsensor.com in Czech Republic recently, it appears they have brought out a new version of the product. Apparently the new version is compatible with both hub and derailleur gears and has a shorter cut out time to the last model. I am told this new model has a shorter...

Befang 8fun motor from woosh krieger

Looking at the way the downtunbe meets the bottom bracket on the current Woosh Krieger, it looks unlikely that a BBSxx will fit as well as the TDM motor. The frame looks designed to allow the (smaller) TDM motor to fit internally within the frame and this compromises it's ability to accept a...

Befang 8fun motor from woosh krieger

Just to note re. the above picture; two slightly longer bolts are required and it IS possible to fit the lock ring with (standard 68-73mm) BBSxx motors on 73mm bottom brackets. That said, it is likely specific/special tools may be required to do so and to ensure correct torque has been applied...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Nice choice, I'm pleased with my session 4. Mounts wise, all of the above for varied footage and depending which direction the mud is flicking this time of year. Personally I'm a fan of the chest harness, but also keen to buy one of the clamp on arms to create some more extraordinary angles...

Any experience with Maxxis Shortys anyone? Considering one for the rear now the wet mud is starting to build up.

    Falling off....

Yes, I agree it is quite a lot of money. And the ability to take some but not all on certain days not possible as it's all one fabrication. I'll take a look at Nukeproof. I just want something that I WILL actually use. Key elements being weight and bulk, if it's not comfy it'll likely get left...

    Service

I work on the basis that prevention is better than cure. This does not mean performing unnecessary work for the sake of it, just keeping on top of things before they go pop, bang or grrrrsckrack! ...and cost measurably more than they otherwise would. For example, a square taper crank arm left...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I am wearing a helmet light too, but it doesn't pick out the path very well. That's the camera in it's least favorite conditions I'd say, in any form of daylight it's remarkable even in it's lower res settings. But then they all look pretty good these days, even the cheaper Chinese copies. For a...

I hadn't realised your injury was that bad Eddie. Have you now seen a specialist and is there a fix on the horizon? Once on the mend, gentle ebiking should be a good form of rehab, no? I've had a sore shoulder for the last few weeks after glancing what feels like the exact same spot off a tree a...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The GoPro Session 4 is under £150 now. Waterproof without the need for extra casing, very small, easy to fix in a number of discreet positions. Battery charges really quickly. Here's an example of night footage and shows my new light set up too :)

Moving on to 650B with a new toy...

Cheers Eddie. Haha, trust you to notice the chain, eh! It is indeed too short. (I should have left in it a higher gear, you might not have noticed :P) It came off a bike running 1x10 with a 34 tooth XT ring up front, so the 42 tooth Lekkie means it just won't quite get to the top sprocket. I've...
