Your comparison is at best misguided, a tractor is the same ( if not wider) than a car and occupies the whole road, a bicycle does not occupy the whole road as illustrated on the photo, yet for some strange reason you seem to think it does, as a professional driver I have never been delayed by...

The Rospa advice is ride a 1/3 into the carriageway which the illustration is showing ( in fact the photo looks slightly less than that) how is that confrontational ? looks like common sense.

The Carrera Crossfuse is very good, had one for nearly a year now and have ridden it all over the Peak District without any problems. I got it in the new year sale at Halfords and it was much cheaper than it is now, but either way I would certainly recommend any bike with the Bosch Activeline...

Don't hold your breath folks, I have been involved in the Bus industry for nearly 40 years and this wont happen, the only time you might see a bike trailer with a bus is if it is doing long distance, certainly not doing stage carriage around towns and cities.

The Carrera Crossfuse is very good with the Bosch Activeline Plus motor as previously stated avoid the Carrera Crossfire.

I don't understand why the bike shop are saying the motor is faulty when they wont have touched it (bosch) and he says it was ok when he took it in.

Of course your local bike shop may be trying it on and touting for custom,If you thought the motor was fine then it probably is as the bike shop wont have done anything with it, as for the rest just buy a new chain, cassette , brake pads etc then buy a bike maintenance book, take a cycle repair...

That seems to contradict what they said before, if they wanted you to take it to Cycle Republic in Birmingham, as for your independent shop I can not see how he knows the engine is worn out as he certainly wont have opened it. Was the motor ok when you took it in?

You cant maintain the motor they are a sealed unit that can only be opened by Bosch so it is under warranty, although you have not said what is wrong with it, obviously Cycle Republic are trying to fob you off which is why you need to take it in store and deal with them in person.

Edinburgh has a Cycle Republic why not take it there?

So if Cycle Republic have not seen the bike and had a chance to assess it what do you expect them to do? Being realistic if you bought a car from a dealers and it had faults you would not expect them to replace it without seeing it, there must be a Cycle Republic or Halfords nearer than 300...

No wonder Cycle Republic are saying that if you have not taken it back to them, if you bought it from Cycle Republic and it is under warranty why would you not take it back to them?
