The warranty of the Crossfuse does not require you to take out a service plan, I know because I own one and have had one replaced at Halfords and I did not take out a service plan and it was never questioned. All they said was that they are not allowed to touch the motors and replaced the bike.

Halfrauds are trying it on, the Bosch warranty is not dependent on you having the bike regularly serviced by them especially as Halfrauds wont touch the motor if anything goes wrong they send it back.

In view of the price I agree a rebuild sounds best.
