    74 now!:D Perhaps I shouldn't have started this thread ... 'On reflection'. :p

    Cycle Mirror

Yes, I much prefer the look of the Mirrycle and, c'mon, everything's got to look pretty on my Juicy Lucy!

    Cycle Mirror

I have just checked and on the tightness that I have my mirror, which has been fine from the point of view of being able to adjust it but at the same time causes no vibrations, the mirror folds back on itself to the extent that only one and a half centimetres sticks out beyond the bar ends. That...

    Cycle Mirror

I must confess thàt I didn't considered the weight factor when buying the Mirrycle, one way or the other. Not really the cost either, just the recommendations from fellow forum members. I'm so glad I did buy it though because it's everything that has been previously mentioned. It has no...

    Cycle Mirror

That's 3 times the price of the Mirrycle though! I have found there is no vibration at all on the Mirrycle so I am happy with that and with the cost!

    More than a lucky escape.

He avoided death or serious injury about three times there. Doubt he will be riding again any time soon after that experience (which was purely his own fault).

    Safety Light

I just received a rear LED flashing safety lamp and am very impressed with it so thought I'd share in case anyone is looking for a Christmas present for themselves! My Juicy bike comes fitted with a normal rear light which isn't very useful during daylight hours. Hubby's Vita Uno has a flashing...

    Mild to Wild eBike

What sort of rpm are you looking at with 16" wheels at 50mph? A lot I would imagine!

Which is better on steep hills with a heavy riding weight, the Big Bear or the Krieger?

Well done Andy, that is one big hill that you climbed. It's a planned ride of ours, but from the Bolton end instead. I've every reason to believe that Juicy Lucy will manage it!

    Shortlist £900 to £1700 Explorer

My hub driven Juicy Classic and my husbands hub driven Vita Uno are recent acquisitions but both have already tackled steep hill without use of the full throttle that my bike has, and with consummate ease. I started off on the same journey as you, believing that we needed crank driven bikes to...

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls

I was really eager to buy this year so that I could have a full throttle. However having ridden my bike a few times I use it very rarely. We live on a steep lane where the junction has to be taken in first gear by cars and it's helpful to throttle up there, but I could achieve the same help...

I'm on my 3rd electric bike and my latest Freego Eagle is the best by far

I suspect Kevin is like me, he rides for leisure purposes only, happy to just be able to get out on the road, probably not anxious to go all that fast. There is no reason under those circumstances that mechanical disc brakes won't do the job that he wants. Each to their own, we don't all need...

I'm on my 3rd electric bike and my latest Freego Eagle is the best by far

My husband has a crossbar. The reason I got the step through rather than the crossbar is because at 60 yr old I find I can't.... er erm ... get my leg over as I used to! I also like the look of the dutch style but each to our own of course. We are also fair weather riders but I'm glad to...

I'm on my 3rd electric bike and my latest Freego Eagle is the best by far

You sound just like I felt when I got my Juicy Classic recently! The word is 'enthused' I think.:D In fact the Eagle step through looks very similar to the Juicy Classic in a lot of ways, especially with it's swan neck frame. Did you get the cross bar version or have you gone dutch and bought...

The bigger the wheel, the further you have to fall !! My husband is 5ft 8" and he fits 26" wheels comfortably. He briefly test rode a 28" wheeled bike and felt very unsure on it. I am 5ft 3" and ride on 26" wheels, but my saddle is on it's lowest position. I am quite a confident rider...

Cadence Sensor, Torque Sensor or Throttle?

I am but a bairn in throttle experience but am finding that I am best using assist 1 or 2 out of 5 when setting off, and employing the throttle selectively on hill starts or when coming onto a busy road from a quiet lane, and only rarely otherwise. I have yet to need the throttle elsewhere but...

    Crashed on Her maiden ride

Ouch  The older you get, the more it hurts. It takes longer to mend as well. Glad you are both relatively unscathed - and the bikes of course.

    Cycle Mirror

Did a few miles this morning delivering Christmas cards in the locality and it was the first time with the Mirrycle mirror in situ. On both my dutch style bike and hubby's straight handlebars we found the mirror to be excellent. No shake, good rear view and being convex, a wide area was...

Cadence Sensor, Torque Sensor or Throttle?

Difficult to have a preference when I've only been on one type of bike. It doesn't feel right voting with my lack of experience.
