Freego raptor or another ...advice pls

I'm sure that time spent listening to the experience folks on here will reward you with the bike that you really want The Vita Uno that I mentioned above will accept mountain bike tyres I'm sure, because the Kudos Cobra from which it derives is a MTB set up. Guys who know better than me will...

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls

My husband bought one of these recently (Vita Uno): http://londonelectricbike.com/electric-bike/vita-uno-26/ He loves the bike and it has already made it with ease up a 3 mile hill where we live. The reason I mention it is because it is within your price range at £695 and it's well equipped at...

Yes I would still do the shoulder check, as in fact I do in a car, when I used to ride a motorbike - oh, and even as a pedestrian when crossing a quiet lane. In fact a shoulder check is one way of letting an observant car driver that you are about to make some kind of manoeuvre and is vital for...

    Covert Ops

Absolutely not! Sorry if it came over in that way. No I took your reluctance to be on the forum too much as due to not wanting to seem too commercially driven on here. I think though that any contributions from you and other commercial members would be valued by other members and seen for what...

    Consideration For Other Road Users

I would agree with that Andy. It could be part of the hazard perception test. We used to ride motorbikes and like to feel that we have an understanding for the vulnerability that folks on two wheels experience. It certainly made me a better car driver.

    Consideration For Other Road Users

One thing that I noticed before I retired is that the morning rush hour seems to be different to the afternoon rush hour. Drivers seem to be more patient and give way more freely when going to work than when returning home. Is it because they are tired after a day's work? Maybe they are in...

    Covert Ops

I lingered on this forum for quite a while before expressing my interest in buying a couple of ebikes at which point I came on asking for advice. I was already familiar with forum members such as Kudoscycles, Ezeecycles and others. I was a little confused by Trex but it dawned on me gradually...

Importing from China - Learn from my costly mistake

Thanks for posting. I sometimes buy things from the far east using ebay, but I confine it to cheaper stuff just in case things go wrong. Have you contacted Alibaba about the item? There is a support page here: http://service.alibaba.com/buyer/contact_us.htm I think that your contract is with...

Cadence Sensor, Torque Sensor or Throttle?

My husband may disagree! And the inference for us girlies has not gone unnoticed:p If you want to do the 'man thing' on a cadence sensor & throttle bike couldn't you just turn down the assist, go up the gears and ignore the throttle - or have I missed something?

The Mirrycle mirror came today and we have fitted it to my dutch style bike. I have not had chance to test it in anger yet but from sitting on the bike in our garage I have every reason to believe that it will do the job. As has been said, there is plenty of sideways and backward/forward angle...

Ohh, nearly sexist but I'll let you off! Believe me when I tell you, the last thing I want to look at is myself.

I already have a rear rack bag which sits on top of my rack and contains my lock .... and the milk of course. It also looks rather splendid against my metallic teal bike I must say!

Case studies - how has your electric bike changed your life?

I am fairly new here and have only just read your post. Your story moved me. I know that admitting you are an alcoholic is part of the what you do to recover but it still seems damned brave of anyone to come out with the statement and you have my full respect for that. Don't go and knock your...

I treated my first utility ride differently than our first road ride! I decided that since I was only going a couple of miles, I could afford to let my legs strain more than on a longer ride. So I used less assist and a higher gear and got back home more puffed out than on our first longer ride...

That's all very encouraging thanks. My bike is different to the Ezee Cadance John. Below are photos from the Juicy Bike site (I'm sure Bob won't mind me using them). The handlebars are adjustable in fact: I have just been on my bike to the village for milk (goodness knows why I had to tell you...

I wonder if anyone has actually got a Dutch style bike with the Mirrycle mirror, and whether it works for them? Anyone?

    Have I missed anything?

I can't tell what difference it makes to the ride yet, being inexperienced as I am, I'm just doing as I'm told! You aren't wrong about losing air when taking the pump off the valve tho', the trick is maybe to over-blow them up, hope the tyre doesn't explode as you fight the escaping air then...

    Have I missed anything?

Much of my vocab comes from reading what the lads and lasses write in this forum BBS. I don't actually understand most of what I am saying. I have termed it as 'cycle speak'.

    Have I missed anything?

What? You have rear suspension? How does that work, is it attached to your legs or your arse?:p (Oh, how we larfed!)
