1-1-2016 Today's Change in the Law.

Unfortunately there is plenty of evidence (no pun in intended) that the CPS don't generally judge whether the law is an ass, rather than whether the law, however stupid it may seem, has been broken. I'm sure that there would be instances where they would pursue the case. You may end up with...

1-1-2016 Today's Change in the Law.

I bought my bike in December, before the law changed. Nah nah na na nah!! :D;) (And I carry a copy of my invoice in my rack bag to prove it)

    Cyclamatic powerplus battery problems...anyone else?

Hi Louise As I understand consumer law, if you bought the bike from Tesco your contract is with them and they should be sorting out any problems. They shouldn't be telling you to go to SportsHQ or whatever. You should be able to return the bike to Tesco for a refund or replacement if it has a...

should i buy the watseka e bike?

The battery isn't great. 9ah won't let you ride it far, in fact it's claiming just 16 to 18 miles. You won't want to end up riding a 32kg bike unassisted for too far so you may well consider that you would want to err on the side of caution, cutting the realistic range down to perhaps 10 to 12...

Getting a fatty up that hill

I don't commute on a bike (a lady of leisure in fact :D) but I too was worried about a 3 mile hill which I have to tackle every time I cycle. I bought a Juicy Classic, which has a standard rear hub motor and she gets up the hill with no problem at all. I'm lighter and shorter than you however...

    What lights do you use

I have one of these on the rear: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261721544880?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=560590995165&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I could have got it for about £1.99 if I'd been patient enough to wait for delivery from China but with batteries included, I'm happy at the price I...

    What lights do you use

How the hec' do they do that first one for £2.34 delivered? I realise it's a Chinese import, but it would cost that much just to deliver it in England!

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls

Yes, I forgot to mention on my post that I do use the throttle when starting off at the lights. It helps steady the bike and gives car drivers a bit of a surprise!

I'm on my 3rd electric bike and my latest Freego Eagle is the best by far

It's good that the Freego has hydraulics but I don't think it's necessary for a lot of us who don't ride in bad weather or over mountains! Mechanical disk brakes are fine for a lot of fair weather leisure riders. My mechanicals are not bedded in properly yet but they are still fine for the job...

A Merry Christmas, love and happiness to all, and thanks to everyone who helped me and my hubby buy our Vita Uno and Juicy Classic this year. It would have been very confusing without all your advice!

    Cycle Mirror

It's probably fair to accept that for cycling in London, a need to get instant and accurate access to your mirror is very much a priority. My village, and surrounding countryside has relatively light traffic, and drivers are generally in much less of a rush than in London. A good motorbike...

    Cycle Mirror

The eBay seller (Laxzo) has run out of stock on ebay but he is still on Amazon, as is another supplier selling at the same price on the marketplace (Sunningvale or something like that). A cycling friend saw the mirrors yesterday and wants one and we spent some time sourcing them.
