Powabyke Xbyke/Tongsheng TDZ - a 'not another build thread' thread

Proper pedelecer- yes. Proper TSDZ owner- no (not until it's broken down and you've fixed it a few times)!

    Rear View Camera

Interesting idea @Hovlev2, thanks for sharing. Is it recording or just real time? If recording, does it record onto the phone or does it have an internal SD card?

Help! Tsdz2: no assist, one battery bar only

So has this kit ever worked properly or have you not had it long enough to tell? Basics first- make sure all connectors are clean and properly seated. If you're running ancilliaries (lights, throttle etc then disconnect them) If it's voltage sag as @peter.c suggested then an inline voltmeter...

Help! Tsdz2: no assist, one battery bar only

Does the problem go away when the battery is charged back up. Fully charged should be around 54.5v... Also, just a thought here- is the motor running 52v firmware?

Help! Tsdz2: no assist, one battery bar only

It sounds like it's hit the LVC What voltage is the battery showing? (Forget how many bars are on the display)

    Petrol driven bike!

I agree with you totally Pete- I spent 15 years racing 2-strokes. The sound/ smell of a Kwakka H2 or GT750 on Microns or Allspeeds is pure Nirvana...

TSDZ2 non-drive side crank binding against BB when tightened

There was another guy on here a few weeks ago with a similar problem, so you're not alone. This suggestion is a bit brutal, but if you're desperate to get rolling this weekend you could always use an angle grinder/ flap disc and remove some meat from the back of the arm- you only need a little...

    No Suspension

Comfort is such a personal issue that I doubt you'll get enough of a scientific answer to base a purchase decision on. There really is no substitute for a test ride. If you do take a punt and buy without a test ride, there are always options available to improve comfort. Suspension seatposts...

    Nano-Septic Handlebars

Sounds like they've wrapped the handlebars in cling film! Alternatively we could all just wash our hands a bit more regularly...

Powabyke Xbyke/Tongsheng TDZ - a 'not another build thread' thread

Looks really good @Swizz. I like the display mounted on the stem- keeps it protected when you invert the bike. Just a thought regarding battery mounting- have you got room to mount it on the underside of the downtube? That'll get the C.O.G lower and also allow you to retain the step-through....

petition to increase the speed limit

Interesting idea here @GSV3MiaC. I currently can't afford to buy a house any closer to my work that the one I've bought (18 miles away). I'd love it if the government would make up the difference!

petition to increase the speed limit

Not true. Statistically, the greatest number of accidents occur in urban (30mph limit) areas. https://uk.motor1.com/news/415257/most-dangerous-road-types-in-uk/ Quite an inflammatory statement but I'll run with it. 2019 UK road deaths: 1870. UK obesity-related deaths: incalulable but...

    Carrera sulcata

Just route it somewhere totally different. Mine runs along the crossbar where the rear brake cable used to run

    Carrera sulcata

Just run the gear cable through an outer and route it wherever you like- it's not hard.
