Hi folks. Has anyone fitted a bafang mid drive to a carrera sulcata mtb in the past?
I’m about to embark on my first project and would like any advice

If you search the "conversion kits" section of the forum (advanced search) for "mid-drive" and "bafang" you'll find plenty of useful info.

I'm not familiar with that bike but as long as it's got a standard sized bottom bracket then it'll be pretty straightfoward. The usual challenges are gear cable routing (if it currently runs under the BB) and wiring tidyness....

Thanks only issue I see is the rear derailed cable goes under the crank and that’s where the new motor will fit I’ve removed the front derailer completely as I’m fitting a front 48 t

Just run the gear cable through an outer and route it wherever you like- it's not hard.

Just route it somewhere totally different. Mine runs along the crossbar where the rear brake cable used to run
