I naiively assumed I could get a controller that would simply replace the current one with all its wires all with the same connectors. Wiring up the battery wires shouldn't be too tricky.

And the power feed issue has returned today, half way through my commute. That is the third time & I am fed up now. Oxygen have had it twice to fix it and it still persists. I'm asking on another thread if I can replace the controller and/or battery to see if that fixes it.

That's a little more fettling than I'd feel comfortable attempting TBH.

I went to the NEC show last year and was totally underwhelmed by the lack of discounts on offer.

Pah! I just loaded the bike up with my touring load & ping! one of the rear wheel spokes just broke! Very frustrating! I would take the Oxygen instead, but that's not much fun to pedal along unassisted. Plan B is to take my Birdy along instead.

The main issue with the bars is that they aren't straight & they are MTB thickness in the middle (31.6mm?). The throttle would fit on the crown of the bend, but the paddle wouldn't spring back. I couldn't move it round the bend of the bars, as the bars get thicker as they go from 22mm to 31.6mm...

My Oxygen EMate is very capable off road, although I only use it on bridleways rather than anything too technical.

I have an older Oxygen and it is fantastic. It's nearest new equivalent is the MTB, although I would say that the S Cross CB is closer to the Wisper in riding position. I regularly take my Oxygen on bridleways and it handles them with aplomb. It's also very good on tarmac & very fast, even on...
