    When to give way..

Happens to me quite often, despite me being in the near side cycle lane. I don’t give way, they need to learn to drive...they shouldn’t expect you to slam your brakes on because they cut in front at the last minute and turn left. Obviously you need to be prepared to stop quick just in case...

Bike Purchase Advice - 22 Mile (one way) Commute

I went for the MTB because of the disk brakes mainly. I added mudguards after myself, and ebikes direct put a pannier rack on before they sent the bike to me. I can't remember if there were any other differences between the CB and MTB Sent from my Moto E (4) using Tapatalk

Bike Purchase Advice - 22 Mile (one way) Commute

I forgot to mention in my review thread, the guy who replaced my blown tyre had a quick look at the gears for me. The only thing he could suggest was to replace the outer gear cable as I hadn’t done that...I just replaced the inner....but the coating on the inside of the outer cable could be...

Need help choosing a bike for 19 mile commute

To be honest, my ongoing review was very nearly an ongoing review of the Rio mtb . My circumstances at the time I bought the oxygen were such that I didn’t have the funds available to pay outright for the Rio, whereas I had the option to get the oxygen on c2w. That was literally the reason I...

Need help choosing a bike for 19 mile commute

Hi Ryan No problem...glad its been of help. My route is reasonably flat, with a few, what maybe a lycra cyclist would call slopes thrown in. This might help give you an idea of the hills or lack of: https://www.strava.com/activities/1369277486 I do run the bike how you suggest and I...

    Blowout

The replacement tyre from Rosebikes arrived 2 days after order placed, so cant complain about that. Just hope this one survives a bit longer than the last.....this one is a liteskin, so probably more vulnerable to side damage, but the only one i could get in my size. Chain reaction kindly did a...

    Blowout

On my way to work today, a pleasant minus 6 degrees but feeling confident with the ice spikers on... suddenly bang, rear tyre blew. Had done 5 miles, 13 to go. Put the gaadi tube in and managed to get the bike home going slowly. Only place I can find a replacement is rose bikes in Germany...
