For Sale Oxygen SCross MTB for sale

Yes, for anyone familiar with this form, this is the legendary 8500 mile Oxygen S Cross MTB. I have decided to sell the bike on, as long as I can get a worthwhile price, rather than take up valuable room in the wife's shed. Discreet in frame 36v 13ah battery, centrally mounted backlit LCD...

Review Oxygen SCross MTB MK II Ongoing Review

First week on the bike has gone really smoothly. Weather has been mostly dry, but pretty cold, although a bit of rain one day to test how the smaller mudguards work. Seem okay so far, but I need a good downpour to tests fully. I really want to keep the MTB mudguards on and not have to resort...

Review Oxygen SCross MTB MK II Ongoing Review

Well, the first commute when smoothly. Bike felt nice and tight, certainly has that new bike feel compared to the old one. A couple of minor irritations for me to sort out. My fault as I didn't get time to run the bike yesterday. The seat needs adjustment along with the gears, so only five...

Good shout. I think I will put the full size one on, at least at the back. I remember the old bike got quite mucky before I put one on there.

Review Oxygen SCross MTB MK II Ongoing Review

Almost ready for Mondays first commute. Just waiting for amazon to deliver some shims for the seat post. The new bike has a larger diameter post than the old one. Handlebars are now full of my junk apart from the mirror. That needs some modification to fit inside the narrower internal...

Does what I'm looking for exist yet?

Not sure you will get what you are looking for within your budget. I would recommend the Oxygen scross mtb, pretty sure it would meet your needs, and although at the top end of your budget, it would be worth it.

Well, Im now a very proud owner of the new Oxygen SCross MTBII :) Popped up to Rotherham today with a view to buying one, and sure enough I couldnt resist.....in fact, i had already bought a couple of goodies to customise to my needs. Oxygen Scross MTB ongoing review

Hi Graham Yes, I did have the slight rattle. Originally, i used some little felt pads running along the inside of the battery, but when i visited oxygen once, they showed me how to adjust the battery connector on the frame which seems to eliminate it. There is a small amount of movement...

    Oxygen Scross MTB ongoing review

Its been a long time since I updated the thread. Well, the saying is true, no news is good news. Everything running fantastically well, my mileage is still relatively low compared to a year ago now, covering a measly 70 miles or so a week, compared to 150 or more. Bike still feels really good...

Help! Looking for a new bike

I've had my Oxygen SCross MTB just over two years now. Use it in anything the weather throws at me. Its done me proud. Just over 8000 miles in now, and I had 3 other ebikes before that which were not up to the job. Oxygen have updated models coming out very soon. Here;s my review of the bike...

    Oxygen Scross MTB ongoing review

Hi Chalk and cheese really. If you are used to riding in eco on the scross, and switch it to power, it will feel like you have a turbo fitted. It really is a massive difference. The easiest way I can describe it, when in Eco, you have to exert a certain amount of effort before the motor kicks...

Well, did that old 19 mile run today, thankfully a bit of decent weather up here for a change too. Ride went well. Put the bike in Eco mode for the first 10 miles to try and judge the range I would get before draining it, and the rest I put it back on Power mode.....what a difference in Power...

    Oxygen Scross MTB ongoing review

Next Wednesday I have a training course for work in Manchester City Centre, not far from where I used to cycle to daily, so will be doing that on the Oxygen.. This will be a good test of the battery as my current commute is about 7 miles, where that old run was just under 19.. looking forward to...

The battery is still charging nicely to 41.5 volts, it just doesnt seem to last as many miles as before...maybe its placebo effect as Im getting older then :)
