Thanks, I'll try those settings later on. I used bullet type connectors on the both the motor and the hall wires (as per pic). Wiring-wise, I also shortened both the display and the throttle cables,soldered the wires back together and used waterproof cable shrink sleeves (as space is limited)...

Just noticed another thing- for unknown reasons (it was getting dark!) , I had the green and blue motor wires connected up the wrong way around, and am sincerely hoping I haven't cocked something up, as it's not behaving any differently with them having now been swapped back?

Hi again, I need to pick your brain....! I've (temporarily) connected everything up (bar the PAS, as I'm waiting for it to arrive), but.... the motor sounds 'graunchy', and despite the speed limit setting being 40kph, the motor cuts out at a low speed (ie 5 or 10 mph at a guess) I'm hoping you...

Very pleased with the bike, it doesn't feel heavy to me, but feels well balanced. Performance on hills is good, no problems at all. I've found the 15.5mph limit, and lack of throttle a bit limiting (but obviously a legal requirement). However, I'm sorting out those particular issues as we speak....

Typical that I got the wrong one! Do you reckon I could maybe use 3 of the wires on the existing one in the interim, until I get the right one ? Problem is not knowing which wires do what!

We shall overcome! Don't let the bastards grind us down. I just find it frustrating that as you get going, the poxy motor cuts out, because you're going too fast, and will undoubtedly die a horrible death should you exceed 15.5mph! I'll be the judge of how fast I want to go thank you very much...

I insured my new Oxygen on my contents policy for a similar price, but wonder why stand-alone bike insurance is over £100? Is there a difference?
