    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Here are some other laws which are actually still in effect today: 1. All beached whales and sturgeons must be offered to the Reigning Monarch 2. No person shall, in the course of a business, import into England, potatoes which he knows, or has reasonable cause to suspect, are from...

Electric Skateboard, Can I Use One?

I'm resurrecting an old thread here but I found it as I recently bought this: WowGo 2S £330 with shipping and it took about 4 weeks to arrive, I've done about 10 miles on it so far including one commute to work and I absolutely love it. As much as I love my ebike, this is a much more fun way...

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

I could almost live with having to register my bike, and I could almost live with having to pay insurance, I already wear a helmet so that doesn't bother me.. it still infuriates me that we are being discriminated against... .....but what does bother me is the fact that my bike will then have...

    New bike for daily commute

I bought my Woosh Rio on the Bike2Work scheme which also allows up to £1,000 and I was able to just pay Hatti the difference over the phone with my debit card......easy as you like!

    Woosh Rio 17AH Battery ???

Thanks Tony, I was mislead a little by the sales pitch on Luna Cycles page. They offer the 48v battery as a quick and easy upgrade for a FLX bike. They say all you need to do is swap the battery and that's it, no other upgrades necessary. I was hoping it would be just as easy for my Rio: To...

    Woosh Rio 17AH Battery ???

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Dear Mrs Bradley, I write to ask about the current deficit between Northern Ireland and the rest of the EU concerning ebike law. As a member of a growing community of people who rely on these bikes to commute, updating this law which is now 23 years out of date will not only enrich the lives of...

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Hi Ted, you are of course completely right. Around 90% of my commute is on the roads and for the short distance that I am on a shared cycle/pedestrian path I slow right down for fear of accidentally clipping someone. I simply meant to address the legal ramifications of riding an ebike in NI. I...

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Hi All, I thought I'd just update this thread to inform you all that I've still been commuting to and from work everyday and as predicted have not been fined, arrested or even spoken to by the local constabulary. Right I'm off to cycle home again!

I'm still waiting for the good folks at @Woosh to tell me they are happy to build me a 48V battery for my Rio.......it is payday tomorrow after all! ;)

    Woosh Rio 17AH Battery ???

All I know if the controller is that the website lists it as a Lishui 17A controller No mention of what voltage it can handle! I'm only starting to investigate this now but I always imagined this would need to be upgraded. I'm wondering if Lishui do a 48V model that would be a direct swap?

    Woosh Rio 17AH Battery ???

If I could talk Woosh into building me a 48V battery, is it then simply a matter of finding a direct replacement controller and swapping them out? Surely it could not be that simple? (say that it is that simple!) :)

    Woosh Rio 17AH Battery ???

Hi Team, Should I buy the Woosh Rio 17AH battery? That's the question, I currently have the Rio with the 13AH battery and its doing its job quite nicely. What I'm wondering though is can I eek more speed/power from the bike with this bigger battery. I'm not that bothered about range as I only...

Sub £1000 bike for a 7 mile commute on canal towpath. Less sweats needed!

Really? That's a shame, I take it you are on the Cycle2work scheme?. I was lucky that my company are on the Bike2Work scheme which Woosh do work with and Hatti was excellent at guiding me through all the back and forth to get all my ducks in a row quickly and painlessly.

    Government subsidize

I was just about to type the same thing, if we've gone without them for 11 months and we're all still here....the buses are still running, the lights are still working....then that simply proves what a massive waste of money and space they all are!

    Riding in the rain

I commute every single day rain or shine, the bike has been faultless. I'm more concerned with keeping myself dry. I now wear this every day: It keeps the rain off my face and it keeps me face really warm. I think it cost me £6.28 Here's the link if anyone is interested...

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

On the flat with a moderate degree of leg power and the bike on full assist I can move along and between 21 and 23 MPH..... However, no matter how hard I pedal I have never been able to get the bike over 25 MPH. (On my road bike I could get to 30 MPH on the flat when pedaling as hard as I...

    New Gtech ebike

I'm not fit by any means.....the reason I got the e-bike is that the cycle home from work absolutely killed me on my road bike. (2 miles uphill) I can not say enough good superlatives about the Woosh Rio, I have put nearly 300 miles on it now and it has never missed a beat....I haven't even had...
