    Bafang SWX02-C Motor

Given the choice though, I'd much rather have the LCD and the thumb throttle if that's an option.

I don't think the new battery does, this is the one I'm thinking of: https://www.dhgate.com/product/e-bike-reention-dorado-battery-48v-17-5ah/425500276.html#s1-2-1b;searl|0829082575 So I will need the LCD as well. I quite like having the thumb throttle for holding the motor on occasionally.

Will my thumb throttle still work?

    Bafang SWX02-C Motor

This is starting to sound very promising, so all I have to buy is the the 48volt Dorado battery from DHGate, and the new Hollowtech controller with LCD from you and bish bash bosh......we're done! And we now have a 48 volt Rio? That almost feels too easy, what am I forgetting?

    Bafang SWX02-C Motor

That's interesting, where did you read about these new kits coming to Woosh? I've just been on their site and I don't see anything listed. If I decide to go ahead with Plan A then I need to buy: 1. New 48 volt battery 2. 22a KT controller with Julet connecters 3. KT LCD3 and do I also need...

    Bafang SWX02-C Motor

My bike doesn't have a torque sensor, it has a speed sensor. This consists of a magnet and a sensor on the crank.

You are a star, that's all the info I've been trying to get all day. Is that controller compatible with the LCD I already have or do I have to get another?

    Bafang SWX02-C Motor

This may be the thread I've been looking for, I currently ride a Woosh Rio MTB. It has a 36v battery, a 17a Lishui controller and the Bafang SWX02 motor. I've found a 48v battery which will fit in my frame...

Upgrading the Woosh Rio from 36v to 48v.....or 52v!

Belay that, I just looked through all the pics and it comes with a charger!

Upgrading the Woosh Rio from 36v to 48v.....or 52v!

Right - a little bird just told me that I need to search for a Dorado 48V battery to find what I need. Third result down on Google is this one: https://www.dhgate.com/store/product/e-bike-reention-dorado-battery-48v-17-5ah/425500276.html I'll need to check the dimensions to make sure its the...

Upgrading the Woosh Rio from 36v to 48v.....or 52v!

Good question - I believe its under the battery holder at the bottom of the downtube. Like I said, the bike's never missed a beat so I've never had to diagnose or fix anything!

Upgrading the Woosh Rio from 36v to 48v.....or 52v!

I did look into this right after I got the bike but thought I would enjoy it and keep it stock until the warranty ran out. I do remember finding out the exact name of that battery case which made it easier to search for them, but that was over a year ago, and your right, I did find a 48 volt...

Upgrading the Woosh Rio from 36v to 48v.....or 52v!

The first thing I did was email Woosh this morning, Andrew came right back and said that unfortunately they do not offer an upgrade for the Rio. Which is understandable, they bike they sold me conforms to UK spec and I'm asking if they can help me make it illegal!

Upgrading the Woosh Rio from 36v to 48v.....or 52v!

Hi Team, My Woosh Rio MTB is now a year and a half old and has covered over 1000 miles. It has been absolutely faultless and it still makes me happy every morning when I jump on it to go to work. However, I would like a bit more power/speed. The Rio has an integrated 36 volt downtube battery...

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

Well, I've had my Woosh Rio MTB for about a year and a half now and recently passed the 1000 mile mark. My daily commute is just over 4 miles (2 there and 2 back). Some of that on roads and some on cycle paths. Oh, and I still cycle past a police station twice a day! :)

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

I passed the 1000 miles mark on my commute home yesterday, in all those miles I only ever ride on full power (I know it's on 1 in the pic below but I only turned the bike on to get the pic) The only issues I've had have been two punctures, one in the front and one in the rear where I needed a...

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

Hi Tony, I changed the tyre and put a new tube in last night, I gave the bike a thorough clean too. :) Thanks for the how to above, I followed it to the letter and the whole operation went quickly and smoothly! All good now although I noticed that the rear brake lever now needs a lot more pull...

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

Quick question for Woosh if you listening - I need to get a new back tyre - my front tyre is still good so I'm trying to find a direct replacement for the rear. I've been on ebay for the last hour looking at every Kenda tyre I can but I can't find the exact one I need. Can you give me a direct...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

That's something I like about my bike, because the is no "limit" on the speed the motor keeps going until its just not providing any more assistance. Its a very gradual tailing off of the power. You can still feel it helping a little at 20mph, at 21mph it's almost imperceptible and at 22mph you...

A 250W motor with a 36 Volt battery will top out at about 20mph even without a restriction.
