    Wire in lights

Will the B&M 80lux finally turned up, after usual poor service from DHL. Wouldn't recommend it, more spread than the Blueline 30 but centre spot on 30 is far brighter. Either go for cheaper Blueline 30 or go all out for 150lux lights. As general purpose commuter light Blueline has very bright...

    Winter Riding

Plenty of USB heated gloves on web, use a a couple of USB battery packs and strap to your forearm. That way you don't need to unplug when hopping off bike. There are also USB scooter handlebar warmers, in this case put USB battery pack in pouch on front stem. Also saw warmers for feet.

    Short Cranks on Bosch DU

I'm always hitting cube FS 175mm cranks, never have problem on unassisted HT. There is no avoiding it sometimes unless I want tp walk bike through rocky sections.

    Kalkhoff Agattu Motor Problem?

    Also check spoke magnet alignment.

    Tyres

I run two sets of wheels, only 5 minute job to swap. You can also rotate cassettes as road one tends to wear 2 gears that are used around 25mkh cutoff. Cube sometimes use mix wheel sets, measure both hub spacings. Shimano wheels sets come with serviceable cone bearings and they are reasonably...

Anybody own 2018 cube stereo 120 hybrid exc 500?

I have cube 140 race 2016 and have been pleased with it. 120 exec is excellent value for money and good choice of midrange components.

Cube reaction 500 rear rack choice?

My Trek HT came with extra seatpost clamp that had mounting points. Don't why didn't fit mounting points on frame. Wouldn't work in your case as its FS. For FS MTB Thule is about only option.

Anybody own 2018 cube stereo 120 hybrid exc 500?

Just make sure battery is same as your hardtail, lot new bikes a going to powertube. Having spare battery is big plus.

    Decathlon B'Twin Elops 940 E?

My wifes last bike was STEPs powered step through. Excellent hill climbing motor, especially after I swapped 44t chainring for 38t. Definitely better climbing motor compared to her current bosch gen2 Activeline. The STEPs also has very useful eco mode, Boschs is bit weak to be useful. Step...

Cube reaction 500 rear rack choice?

Only rated for 11kg, compared to 25kg for most standard racks. Bike discounts have them reasonable price, as mention will need additional side panels when using pannier bags. Can be fitted to front fork.

Its quality that counts, not quality. But if we are bragging I've 30.

    Di2 Retrofit

Bike Discount has range of parts. I looked into it more out of curiosity, couldn't find any installation information or a list of parts required. Bewary of Alfine 11spd mix reviews on its reliability. The 8spd seems to be lot more reliable.

    HELP!!...Same Old Question!

The Cube has 27.5" (622) rims, won't take a 28/29" (700) tyre. If the Smart Sams have TLE or TE on them then you can set them up as tubeless which will give good puncture protection. For alternative road tyres to Marathon Plus try Almotion, more grip on seal in wet, quiet better rolling...

Looking for a reliable (and fun?) commuter

I replace CX chainring with chain, when I didn't it gave me no end of problems with chain suck. At €8 for chainring and €25 for chain its cheap investment.

    better brake system

Once setup correctly when new they are hassle free. Only adjustment between pad changes is lever pull screw as they wear. Torx 25 screwdriver on HS11, knob on HS22. With V brakes had to realign pads around half wear point as they operate at angle. Pad change is remove one side with quick...

    better brake system

Magura also have brake leave with switch for HSxx range, ideal for kits. You may need stronger rims to handle extra braking forces. My wife's bike has fine grooves in rim, I suspect to help with braking in wet. In regards to setting them up, you only get one chance to do this as I'm finding...

Looking for a reliable (and fun?) commuter

The CX drive is better on big moderate to steep hills, but takes more effort to ride past 25kmh cutoff because of internal gear box. If your climbs are gentle Tourer with Plus motor would be fine upto 25kmh cutoff. 1) Easier to ride unassisted due to direct drive. 2) 9spd with standard cassette...

    Trek Powerfly 7 2018 hardtail

The bike as now done 1000kms, no problems. I ended up use Cateye 300 mounts for attaching front mudguards to forks, as I ordered wrong clamps. Remove light attachment and work find, a slightly longer M4 screw would be good idea. Coveragevon front guards is good. Found few things while...

    Kalkhoff Endeavour Move B9

They will be making the powertube for years to come. The Alivio 9spd is quality derailleur and all the gear range your liking to need, especially with performance motor. The other big plus is Shimano 9spd drivetrains parts are cheap.
