    S12S / S-LCD3 problem

Well that's good news. I'm sure you've already checked you have a 36V (41.5V) charger, but just in case...

    S12S / S-LCD3 problem

Agree with Awol above: try setting C11 to "1" You may have an older controller not able to provide all the signals that this display would like. Setting C11 to 1 eliminates some assumptions made by the LCD. See page 32 of the manual. Good luck to you!

    S12S / S-LCD3 problem

Is that 39.4 immediately after charging, measured using a multimeter at the battery? Is there anything written on the controller?

    S12S / S-LCD3 problem

I'm confused. Are you able to measure battery voltage just after a charge and then again 20 mins later. You should return C12 to 4, but that shouldn't have much effect. Does your controller clearly show it is 36v?

    S12S / S-LCD3 problem

You could adjust setting C12 (see page 32 of the manual). Try setting this to "0", assuming you have a 48V battery.

    bike cutting out

Try measuring output voltage immediately after the battery appears to have died then again 10 mins later. Using a testing rig showing how the voltage declines under load can quickly show a faulty cell so if you can, call in to a specialist. What happens after that first mile. When you switch...

Where in the country are you ? Might be possible to call in to one of many specialists dotted around the UK, generally all very helpful folk.

That would vary between the different makes. Ours will change come the day to comply with the law with some deft re-configuration that our retailers will know about, but would be wrong to publish openly.

    Pedego Ridge Rider

Hi Crockers I like the styling of Pedego bikes and they are of good quality. However I think for the components used they are way over-priced and you need to be aware that the throttle will become illegal to use in the UK shortly. We have looked at using the exact same torque sensor they seem...

Yep. View from the Peak District is that a hub drive will do just fine and ours have throttles.

    Testing Lithium 36v 10ah battery

We have a rig that drains a fully charged battery to cut-off voltage at 10amps current. If that process takes 60 minutes then we have a 10ah battery.

Hello all, thanks for the forum!

There's an electric bike shop in Dartford (a bit of a distance for you) who have a range of brands available to try - might be well worth a visit.

Our local stockist in Felixstowe is Wilco at 31-39 Undercliff Rd West IP112AH, but they only have our Classic step-through. I can get a Sport LITE to them, but you'd need to have a look at that first and let me know if it's of interest. Otherwise there's an electric bike shop in Dartford (a...

Just how long and how steep is that hill? 2-3 miles is quite a short distance and you sound quite fit (dare I ask your size). You originally asked after just 3 bikes, but if we knew where you lived then we might point you to somewhere you could actually test ride a range of bikes, which would...
