    Confused bike buyer !

Martin, you should try a Juicy. Those that do like the slightly quirky, curvy shape of our range find them easily able to cope with the hills of Derbyshire, for which they are designed. Here's another Martin's view of his recent purchase. Hope you can get to try one. You could also afford...

    Price Increase

That's a bit mean! Gideon (for that is his true first name, not George) did help out at the Tuck shop during break time... We always buy our foreign currency when the pound is strong and generally have averaged 1.62 USD for each of our Juicy Bike Pounds for the last 12 months. It makes a...

£2,000 toy fund - but what to spend it on ?

Hi Mike We'd struggle to use that budget but you really ought to look at our Merlin which, even after you've chosen the 60 mile battery still gives you change from £1600. Add some panniers and a decent bike rack and you'd still have something left from your budget...

And from time to time it is important to remember that what is said on these forums is very much a part of that same wider forum of debate and views expressed here can also help cause division and destabilization. I think we should be careful not to inflame that debate, on such a widely read...

I like the look of this bike but ...

I quite like that. Simple with very limited range (I'd estimate 20 miles tops for Mr Average) but for a fitter cyclist who only wants occasional assistance that's an extremely low price. Worth a try, before you buy.

Unable to switch off Bearprint battery problem.

Sounds like you've done enough and the Eagles controller has simply failed. They do. From what you say there were no internal signs of water damage, so the controller may have burned out due to over-heating or shorting at one of the many connectors attached. I'd concentrate on leaving plenty...

Unable to switch off Bearprint battery problem.

ER. You would be wise, if using your bike extensively in the wet, to seal the cable entry hole at the front of the control box, with silicon sealant. A little water can creep in there, aided by running along the cables. Sealing the whole box would cause problems and lead to overheating of the...

So I guess Voltaire would be excluded from tending to my Mother in her care home? I would hope we can see the wood for the trees, often obfuscated by the need of the tabloid press to use up the forest.

    Obvious pitfalls of battery replacement

Good point to make. After we had tried a variety of battery types we chose the most popular case and most widely used technology and then made all our bike frames share that case. So now we use one popular, standard battery case across all our bikes giving us much better supplier options and...
