hi all,
my name is chris and i live in hull. i am in my 30s and have very little experiences of bicycles in general other than as a kid growing up.
i've just come from owning a couple of 125 scooters, a honda s-wing and a honda pcx125. after writing the pcx off when the damage only looked superficial (and no injury to myself), through exasperation i have had a short period relying on public transport. lack of road tax and the cheap insurance has brought me to you guys . wish i could say it was for the environment or a wish to get fit but unfortunately its purely economic and freedom of movement purposes that i am looking at getting an electric bicycle.
i have not got an ebike yet so will shortly be posting a help, what should i get thread but lol after looking through all sorts of reviews and forum posts i am still unsure-the choice is so wide. i have a few ideas but will post in that thread. next week i am off to 'cycling made easy' (lol am i allowed to mention their name, i dont work for them i promise) to check out a few of their bikes and to take test rides. i am travelling a fair distance but they seemed to have a good selection of bikes and well thought itd be prudent to ride an ebike before buying even if its not the one i buy.
with the exception of a few heated debates ive read related to 2 bikes funnily enough that i am considering, you guys all seem nice and very helpful.
i cannot contribute much as regards knowledge but i very much hope you can enlighten me on this world.
i hope to use the bike for travelling to shops aswell as longer distance travelling between cities so the bike will probably get used dailyish.
thats all for now...now to decide what to post about what to get..lol thatll probably be up before you read this.
anyway cheers and thanks for having me....
