    cold hands

That device is on the same lines of idea I was thinking today. I was discharging an 18650 cell@1a and it got warm so was thinking it must be possible to use something tiny which makes a 1a load. Any electronics person know if this can be done, with resistors or something?

DIY Lithium 18650 Battery 5 part video

I like the idea of having a go at this for a future project. This is a good video too, by the same guy. Anyone know where to get those triangle shaped nickel plates?

    cold hands

Ensure the two pairs are not tight around your fingers/hand. I used to make the mistake of thinking a nice tight fitting glove liner was needed until I realized it was restricting my circulation and making my hands worse. Measuring 18650 cell capacity

Got a good tip off the guy in this video to charge the cells up to 4.2v and leave for a couple of weeks to allow the weak ones to show themselves up. Works too, I've waited a week and I have a variation of 4.09v 4.16v 4.18v 4.2v (yes 4.2v=no loss!!) Can't wait to see the capacity difference...

    Retiring my Battery

Spotted this whilst taking apart and I'm sure it was already loose before I pulled the tab up for the pic. Maybe this brought down the capacity of the whole battery and it would actually have been ok without this.

    The new best headlight

This is quite solid and the bottom clamp part of this unscrews, if you can find a way of screwing your lamp to it using m4x12 screws maybe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322252377125?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

A voltmeter won't be waterproof, or the cheapest solution. I've got one of these taped to my handlebars. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WaterProof-Mini-DC0-100V-Voltmeter-LED-Panel-3Digital-Display-Volt-Voltage-Meter-/142059824228?var=&hash=item21136ce464:m:mMn4cvjsojj9O_UuRNY2iww

    Measuring 18650 cell capacity

Please come back with a review, I notice it says default discharge current of 500ma but am wondering if it can discharge all 4 cells at 1amp each at the same time.
