rear spokes on an e bike

Having re-laced a wheel myself for the first time at the end of last summer its a doddle,, the hardest part for me was to source the right size spokes,. and while not the best solution amazon prime saved the day allowing me to buy and return only to replace with 1mm longer etc.. with a rapid...

    Assist cuts out occasionally

I see, and i did 'tldr' all details so yeah, though without the battery bms cutting out completely or an apparent voltage sag or drop or low voltage warning on the display its not screaming battery problems to my novice ebike fault finding sensors.. and with @saneagle with a un-challenged...

Home Ruination by Ebike Battery Fire Expulserating PreTerminator™®©℠

Auto logging of temp/humidity/relay status from a STC1000 can be accomplished with a 433mhz transmission module when you have reflashed the stc1000 firmware with the wonderfull stc1000+ project from github. the 433mhz rf signal uses a weatherstation protocol so hooking a 433mhz reciever to an...

    Assist cuts out occasionally

Just trace all the sensors etc back to where they plug in, disconnect and label everything except the display battery and pas sensor. Then find some way to replicate the problem, a bike stand would be great I have a loop of cord i can string up over a beam in the garage and suspend the bike...

    Assist cuts out occasionally

if the display shows no sign of an issue?? does it show any indication if/when brake sensors are tripped? I would try and replicate the problem with no throttle or brake sensors attached only the psa or torque sensor and if the problem persists exchange the pas sensor.

    Help! Raleigh Strada TSE controller

Mid drive motors can contain the controller pcb internally. Any mention of throttle settings in the display/controller manual? or perhaps any unused 3wire sockets wired to your motor? Google led me to a site which was sparse on useful details and left me thinking joe public isn't expected or...

    Centre stand options..

The Cheapest single side two leg centre stand finally arrived via amazon.. Price alone was not the deciding factor, the leg length can be adjusted without chopping off the leg bottoms, and its one of the few (cheaper) ads that list ebike use as a recommended application ;) Fitting was a...

    Yose Power Triangle Battery Recall

I can hear drawers up n down the nation rattling with the search for a screwdriver to crack open yose-power hailong style batteries for a look see and photo session. the race is on ;) ps- cracked mine a while back, looked ok iirc, both load carrying wires were of a similar substantial gauge...

Yose 250w. rear hub motor with Lishui 350w. controller?

Fwiw topbikekit stock 36v KT controllers that fit inside a hailong battery sled. If bothered by the limitations of the 250w yose-power kit I would opt for the kt controller refit, over the 350w version of controller/display.. the 17a version should provide enough juice to allow you to cruse...

    stupid question

An £80-£100 premium is the cost for an aftermarket configurable KT controller and display, which when applied to a generic hub drive ebike will allow configuration within the limits of your motor/battery. for more power/speed just replace the probably 15a controller with a 17a or possibly even...

Help with my first conversion kit.

Yes, but as any legal bod will tell you the law is more than the written statutes, its also the intent or spirit of the law and the presidents of common practice. And even if the letter of the law re e-bikes is less than optimal engineering speak, its intent or spirit is pretty damn clear...

    Adding second battery

+1 to the above, the 20-30 seconds it takes to swap a battery over is a very minor inconvenience compared to the risks and expense of connecting two batteries together, also simply not carrying the 2nd battery when not needed is easier when you have no need to keep 2 batteries in an identical state

Chances of marrying a Swytch front wheel with a Yose (Lishui) controller.

hope you write a conversion/fix thread, are you going to fit an in the battery sled kt controller, or in tube option, or or are you going with the standard silver box?? That sure sounds familiar @Cadence as soon as i had put in the order for my kit i was looking at getting the restrictions...
