    Bosch Motor Derestriction

It's fine on my 2016 Yamaha. Can't see why I would need to spend money on a dongle when I use my phone to log everything from heart rate to speed anyway, just put it on the bars wherevyou can see it.

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

Oi I've already told you I'll test this in the Alps for you. I'm here all summer and would be very open to carrying out some back to back testing whether it be in private or public màkes no difference to me. I'm really interested in whether a hub motor can cut it compared with my Yamaha when...

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

Doesn't make sense to me, if you are maxing the power on the meter then how is it helping you get home? Surely (and I do have a lot of experience of this) you change to a lower gear and a lower assist level to keep the power meter down to increase range. I know that in my experience if you try...

    France on a Woosh

Wearing brakes out is the biggest problem, I would love to solve this problem to enable my wife to get out more. Just reducing the acceleration when pointing downhill would allow her to get out a lot more around here. Never cycled in that area Eddie but have had a few ski trips there, the first...

    Small Battery Bargain.....?

Bought one of these recently (new in box)and on first charge it got so hot it deformed the casing and wouldn't hold charge. Guess the cells had drained too low and didn't respond well to being woken up. Fortunately got a refund from the seller.

    France on a Woosh

What I would really like is to be able to convert some of that kinetic energy back into battery power. I know regen has been discussed before many times and is not possible with a crank drive but I would like a mode where on my descent from 1700m to 600m I could regain some of that power...

    France on a Woosh

That's quite a strange comment, all circular rides have a net zero elevation gain. One climb on that route is from 700m straight to 1700m so 3000ft in one go, another isfrom 600m to 850m so hardly a small segment.;) As others have said I am quite surprised to see a hub motor doing this without...

    France on a Woosh

5,600+ for me today on a 400Wh battery, over 35 miles, most of the big climb is over 10% over about 8-9 miles with the last 2 miles probably 15% average and pitches of about 30%

    Mushy brakes

Got to disagree here, if you are riding down a road with tight corners or maybe hairpins then you are constantly changing your foot position so the inside one is high. As we know you shouldn't pedal a deraileur backwards so therefore we are pedalling forwards and braking at the same time, I...

    Cube vs Wisper SE

If you want some testing done in the Alps by a 50 something typical (for this region) where 50% of the bikes I see are eMTB's then I'm your man!

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

Posts crossed, I totally agree, but that isn't clear. It reads more like a criticism of the tubes as supplied.

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

No issue with that at all, but having negative comments about something you have modfied is just ridiculous. If you either remove the valve cores or force slime though the valve you have changed it from its original specification, your problem. If you don't like the tyres as supplied for...

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

Still has nothing to do with the bike as supplied, you have modified it and are commenting on the components that you have modified in a review thread. I'd be a lot more concerned about the parts that are coming loose, made of cheese and wheels that are out of true than anything else.

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

I take it these are Schrader valves, easy to test for leakage just dab a little bit of spit on the end of the valve and it's clear if it is leaking. As you have filled the tubes with slime yourself and thus changed the original spec do you think it's really fair to be comenting on it in a review...

Who breaks in new rotors and pads?

I don't have a choice as I have a 100m 14% descent right out side the door with a hairpin half way down and a 90 degree turn at the bottom!

    Haibike quality issue

This bike is known to have been filthy many times, cleaning around bearing areas is notoriously difficult. The parts used are standard MTB parts chosen to fit the price point. If you look at 'normal' MTB forums you will find the same issues over and over again. After less than a year of owning...
