    Hub motor wheel building

Everything you need to know about wheel building is in this excellent book (well worth the cost) and he has a spoke length calculator on the website too. https://www.wheelpro.co.uk/wheelbuilding/book.php There is also sheldon Brown's great guide. https://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html

    Charger Oddity

I made an adapter lead between the charge plug and the battery, after a few months of it being flexed I got that same problem, so I did what vfr400 says, took it to bits, resoldered it and the problem was gone.

I've also had a scab patch fail about a week after sticking it on which gave me the opinion they are temporary and need replacing for glued patched when I get home and can do a good clean job.

    BBS01 grease

This grease gets recommended in the Q&A for being mineral based and somebody used on Bafang motor nylon gears although not done it myself yet. https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/weldtite-tf2-lithium-grease/rp-prod5959

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Out on the road bike yeterday I found a bridleway signposted so came back today on the emtb and had a great couple of hours. Will be going back. This is steeper and rockier than it looks and beyond my zero offroad skillset.

    Juicy Classic Click lagging

It sounds like the wheel isn't in straight and the tyre is rubbing the frame causing the drag and will also cause the indexing to be out.

    Juicy Classic Click lagging

Ask someone to lift the back wheel of the bike off the ground while you give it a spin by hand to see if there is any resistance and look to see if it is the tyre rubbing against the frame, or the disc rubbing inside the caliper.

    Changing rear spoke

It can be done on the disc side without removing the wheel. I have done it, but be prepared to seriously bend the new spoke to a 'c' shape when putting in through the spoke hole without putting kinks in it. Then straighten it as best you can when screwing it in at the rim. It will straighten out...

    Puncture repair kits

I like to slightly squeeze the glue tube until glue is at the top to remove any air when putting the top back on and this seems to help stop my glue drying up.

For offroad it has to be mid drive for the gearing. I might end up reusing the kit on this bike yet, on a smaller bike.

    For Sale Q128H 36v 800w

Nealh has just reminded me I've got a 36v/48v KU123 30a controller full kit buried in the garage. Those controllers don't use LCD and worked better with throttle rather than PAS . I could sell it all as a kit and bet it would blow the socks off a fleabay DD kit.

Which rims for an eMTB ?

Chain Reaction Cycles sell quality rims. Ensure you get a rim with the correct number of holes to suit your motor and front hub which may be different. It shouldn't be £260 if you just replace the rims, just get rims with the same ERD size. and rebuild with the current spokes.

    eMTB build

After only doing a handful of miles I have decided the medium frame is too big for me. Anyone interested in it as...
