I have a YZpower 2A charger, it's a small one with a fan in it. I bought it as a replacement for a blown Sans one Jimmy supplied with a soft pack battery he built for me.
About half way through a charge this one starts to, intermittantly, go green. If I even touch the output lead (not even moving it ) it comes back on.

This morning it even came back on as I approached it to see how it was doing. I've checked the continuity of the output lead whilst aggresively manipulating it, it's OK. Also checked the battery charge lead continuity.
This is driving me nuts, I'm even starting to entertain ideas of poltergeist activity:eek: I can't leave it at all as a 4 hour charge could become 8.
Can anyone offer anything else I can check other than my stock of single malt?

How long it charges for depends on how much capacity (mah) isn't used, the light changing from Red to Green is either an intermittent wire contact or the balance sequence working correctly, charging then discharging the high voltage cells. If out of balance or high cell voltage being balanced then it can take quite a while as the balance current is very small at about 50ma.

I made an adapter lead between the charge plug and the battery, after a few months of it being flexed I got that same problem, so I did what vfr400 says, took it to bits, resoldered it and the problem was gone.
