That is not good, is it? Every cyclist must learn some basic maintenance IMO, but at the end of the day it is up to a person to make a decision - buy an e-bike or maybe invest some time and energy into DIY. We just give best advice we can. BTW front wheel conversion is super easy. This thread...

The big difference is that gaming computers usually have open architecture with easily replaceable components. When something goes wrong out of warranty with proprietary e-bike then you are FCUKed. ...but you are right. Time spent on build and experience should be taken into account.

It is not only ugly, but also unpractical and extremely expensive. They will be lucky if they sell one.

Help! False power on labels not matching whats inside or on adverts so worried about what to buy these days Advice welcome please.

In your case the bigger the better. You really don't want to run out of juice in the middle of nowhere. You can even make an experiment and try to pedal up hill without assistance ;) Maybe this one if you can install it safely...

Fat bikes are designed to operate by throttle or in ghost pedal mode, but on seats like that you and your wife will have to keep legs wide open...

Knapp is a bike in your avatar? Believe me neither of your bikes is suitable to ride as ordinary bicycle. Both are mopeds dressed up to look like bicycles for legal reasons. Your avatar is very small and I can't see clearly, but it looks like both bikes have massive motorbike seats and on...

Bike you bought is designed for throttle use only. Your wife will find it very difficult to pedal this thing.

    26 wheel. Which one?

I can't help but think you want to throw good money after bad on this bike. If quick release springs were preventing wheel from fitting well it means components were not matched well. It all should be easy fit.
