It has 39 x 2500mah cells in a 13S3P configuration, so it's 48v 7.5ah.

You should also look at the writing on the motor. If it says anything more than 250w, it's illegal. It's very small in your photo, but looks like 500w. Twist and go throttle is likewise illegal, so if that's what it has, you should disconnect it and use the pedal assist only.

I think the damaged paper label is trying to say 8Ah, not 13, which fits with 13s3p 2500mAh cells, rounded up from 7.5.

The charger voltage is correct at 13 x 4.2 = 54.6V fully charged.

A new battery might be better than a refurb, and would come with a matching mount. All you would have to do is connect the red and black wires.

Big Thanks for clearing that up for me as for the damaged label i think your correct al the motor is 250 watt i dont want any trouble with the powers that be and the throttle is a thumb one the thumb bit is completely snapped of and does not do anything so woulld it be ok to leave as is i have gave the go ahead tonight to repair the battery so then i atleast know whats going on with it but i have a 3 way discharger/balancer i will be fitting to the bike and will be buying a triangle 20ah one to retro fit and maybe another hailong style for under the crossbar so give more range as i have a knaap with 3 x 20ah batteries and can get about 90miles as is.
i was looking at this one https://www.pswpower.com/products/electric-bicycle-battery-48v-20ah-52v-20ah-triangle-ebike-battery-with-charger-for-1800w-1500w-bafang-1000w-bbshd-750w-bbs02-222 Thanks again.

If it is a 250W motor then pretty much any 20Ah battery is likely to be fine, as the load is fairly low. Psppower, Yosepower, Greenlance all get mentioned here regularly.

Removing throttle removes all possible questions about it.

Greenlance claim Samsung cells.

Yosepower don't say, and don't have 48V 20Ah.

Bike you bought is designed for throttle use only. Your wife will find it very difficult to pedal this thing.
My wife has rode my Knapp without throttle without any issues and the Knapp is such a heavy bike to start with 3 times the weight of the one I bought she actually has rode the bike for 6 miles before the battery died but thank you for your concern as the last thing I want is to put her off

Knapp is a bike in your avatar?
Believe me neither of your bikes is suitable to ride as ordinary bicycle. Both are mopeds dressed up to look like bicycles for legal reasons. Your avatar is very small and I can't see clearly, but it looks like both bikes have massive motorbike seats and on neither seat height can be adjusted. Both are designed to be operated by throttle and are a nightmare to pedal. I tried to encourage my wife to cycle for years (her bike is in my avatar) and last thing I want is to discourage your wife.

Well I did not come here to argue but for advice I will state that I am a recovering stroke patient and my Knapp has helped me to recover immensely as I lost use of my left arm and leg but both bikes are Bafang 250watt one 36volt and one 48 both have c916 displays and 9 levels of pedal assist so throttle is not needed even though I was told by my rehab doctor I would be ok to fit one on my bike due to my left side neglect also I have done over 1800 miles this last 18 months so added padded seat cover to ease my tender bum you would be surprised how easy these bikes are to pedal .

I am not trying to argue. I am just trying to give you best advice even if it is not what you would like to hear. I know those bikes are easy to pedal. Fat bikes are designed to operate by throttle or in ghost pedal mode, but on seats like that you and your wife will have to keep legs wide open. Without seat height adjustment both will be uncomfortable to pedal in long term.
One more thing... 10Ah battery is not good enough on bike like that. You both will need high discharge 20Ah+ and pray you won't run out of juice far from home.

It only has to suit you! Your 1800 miles is far more than most people I know with ebikes have managed in the same time. Good luck and take care.
