I am not trying to argue. I am just trying to give you best advice even if it is not what you would like to hear. I know those bikes are easy to pedal. Fat bikes are designed to operate by throttle or in ghost pedal mode, but on seats like that you and your wife will have to keep legs wide open. Without seat height adjustment both will be uncomfortable to pedal in long term.
One more thing... 10Ah battery is not good enough on bike like that. You both will need high discharge 20Ah+ and pray you won't run out of juice far from home.
Thanks I am going to add a 20 or 25ah battery onto wife’s bike soon as I find a good one with decent cells at a good price I have already the same 30\40 ah splitter discharge balancer thats fitted to my Knapp for hers .

PSW have good and cheap batteries (just not the one you linked).
Greenlance is another good choice if you are looking for UK supplier.

That's a different one to the one shown in post #1, which is clearly prefixed EW, not RM.
yes thats my knaap my wifes one is in the shop being setup all gears needed work and some puncture proof tubes hers is a 250 qs the shop i use wont work on any bike thats not legal they only worked on hers as the throttle does not propel the bike it is non functional :) the bike is actually sold online as a a mario 250watt bike :) the guy i purchased it from has shown me the receipt of original purchase and price from online store and it only does 15.3 mph.

The police only check the markings on the motor. When it says 500w, you're out. The regulations say 250w motor, not 250w bike.

Is this it?

No, the motor doesn't care too much about voltage. The voltage affects the speed and efficiency. If you go too slow up hills, it would get hotter, but the higher voltage gives more torque, so it's easier to maintain a higher speed up the hills.

Before anything, check that the motor does indeed say 500w. There are some quite convincing 250w labels you can buy from Ebay to stick on your motor. Just saying, not suggesting.

Thanks Az any you would recommend in particular I would ideally like a Yose power triangle one but they don’t have that style in 48volt 20ah or more .

In your case the bigger the better. You really don't want to run out of juice in the middle of nowhere. You can even make an experiment and try to pedal up hill without assistance ;)

Maybe this one if you can install it safely:

Yose didn't sell batteries with good cells last time I checked. You need high capacity and high discharge. Your bikes are like monster trucks. They look cool, but not very fuel efficient.

Thanks Az I am an old motorbiker /motocrosser/mountain biker was a keen cyclist before my medical issues and dvla took my driving licence away so I like the retro bsa and ajs and Harley style of motorcycles and I think that shows in my choice of bikes.
My knapp has gave me back my independence and confidence to go exploring again our lovely countryside I will be buying the 25ah probably later tonight or Monday after I get my wife’s approval :) Thanks again all for your advice and patience.
