I did try VERY HARD to buy a TS kit for my wife's bike back in June.
It would have been ideal for her, but apparently there weren't any suitable 700C wheels available so I had to go for the XF08-C kit instead.
Rather disappointed about this, though the XF08 is running fine.
That's how it's done with the sensors used in most kits.
Fault finding is pretty straightforward (assuming that you haven't messed with the magnets in the disc) -
1 Nothing happens with pedals turned in either direction
a) magnet disc back to front
b) magnet disc too far from sensor...
Nice looking bike!
I think Gripshift is ideal for ebikes - a low gear for starting off and then straight into top for cruising without having to do the click click click thing.
I'm on the lookout for some of that plasticated canvas that they make banners from, plus a bit of bungie cord.
I just swapped out my quick-release front skewer for a "security" one. The new one has a 5-sided alen type key. Also put one on the seatpost clamp so popping into a shop won't be such...
Clearly no-one does know the weight.
Never mind - I found the weight of a very similar looking Cube bike which comes in a just under 22kg.
Wifey's conversion is about 23.5kg (with a 612Wh battery), so there's not very much in it.
Well, it's good to know that we have someone on this forum who knows more about disc brakes than Mr Shimano, Mr Tektro, Mr Avid etc. etc..
Should I write to Giant (Liv) and Forme, asking why they put the rotors on our bikes the wrong way round?
I've been thinking about this too and have concluded that bits permanently attached are unlikely to be stolen but could be trashed.
I intend to make a simple waterproof cover to stretch between the brake levers and cover up the "interesting" bits on the handlebars. It will also keep rain off the...
As the title, I should like to know the weight of the Forme please.
Wifey has got it into her head that these are MUCH lighter than her present Liv conversion, whilst I think there is only a kg or two in it.
The small difference in rim diameters shouldn't be a problem once the tyre is pumped up fully.
It does mean that you need to be much more careful about centering the tyre before you pump it up to full pressure. A good dose of talcum powder lets you manipulate the tyre position more easily with...
Not complaining about the bike - it looks pretty good.
Just the dodgy selling method : making out that it is incredibly cheap (too good to be true!) and then finding that on the page where you can order one the price has more than doubled.
The amazing $399 price turns into $950 if you buy from their EU warehouse!
The $950 includes delivery and all taxes, but it's certainly not a bargain any more.
You've go a bit of a problem if that spoiler thing is plastic and won't take any weight.
Pendle do an adaptor so that instead of hooks grabbing the edge of the tailgate, there are loops which go through into the boot and are then fitted with small metal tubes. When the tailgate is closed the...
Looks a good rack, if somewhat expensive.
What is the problem with the rack leaning against the glass? Most strap-on racks operate this way and the motor manufacturers must know this. Unless you car handbook specifically says don't do it then you should be OK.
I use a Pendle Standard Classic...
RS Components (uk.rs-online.com) sell the blue Neutrik ones for £5.70 +VAT and postage.
They do have trade counters around the country, so you might be able to save on the postage.
The blue ones look compatible with your black one (as opposed to the grey ones which have two "tags" on the rim).
