    Battery

Well, an analysis of his reply is that far from giving cogent arguments for what he has posted, he just proceeds to air his egotistical deluded sense of superiority, assures us that he is not at all worried by valid criticism and is content to carry on ploughing his lonely road. WHY does he keep...

    Battery

Lecturing, schoolmasterly tone, Need to put people down, Superiority complex, egotistical. Belittles people unnecessarily, Will not admit that he gave the wrong advice. Reminds me of our old friend from a year ago or so!

    Sqeaking brakes

I think that the answer is that we are talking about different aspects of cycling. The off roader, ploughing through mud and grit needs disc brakes simply because they work better in those circumstances. The racer, usually riding on smooth tarmac does not have the off roaders problems. The...

    tubeless the way to go

Why should a tubeless tyre be less prone to punctures than an ordinary one? Or is it that they do pick up nails etc. just don't deflate?

    Introducing the new Woosh Rambla

I would like to see a longer front mudguard with mud flap. Also, I know that the front of the pannier rack is supported by the mudguard, but it still bothers me

    Sqeaking brakes

Yes, I have done all that. But consider:- if you need to remove the wheel, it is almost impossible to put it back without slackening and retightening the pads. So much simpler with vee brakes. As to adjusting vee brakes, I do not find any problem to stop them rubbing.

    Sqeaking brakes

I think that you can understand why I am attracted by the elegant simplicity of Vee brakes. I have them on my folding bike and they are excellent.

    Sqeaking brakes

Well, having been thoroughly derailed, lets get back to the squeaking. My problem was that I would set the brakes up just fine, but in no time they would start squeaking, not when braking but just going along. I changed the front rotor which cured it, but feeling reluctant to going to all the...

I agree. In fact I think that the relevant posts should be removed. We have no way of knowing whether Andy is a serious poster with a good understanding of engineering, or a wind blowing troll. His posts could pose serious danger to someone who just happens across this site.

    Steering Damper

I have seen this on a couple of bikes, just a spring from the fork to the sloping tube. Has anyone ever used one and if so, what did you think of it?

The development of the brand new 2020 Wispers... in Pictures!

The rear carrier seems unsupported. Not criticising because the step through centre motor is very tempting to me.

The development of the brand new 2020 Wispers... in Pictures!

1 Is a throttle available? The inclusion of cadence sensing is a good idea for us geriatrics! 2 The front mudguard would benefit from a mud flap. 3 What size is the battery? Anyway, congrats, it is a very nice looking bike.

    Sqeaking brakes

I know that they are mounted correctly because they have a direction arrow on them. Anyway, I have changed the front disc and will give it a test. Rim brakes have improved immensely since the 1950s when we had to put up with the dire 'Fibrax' blocks.

Difficult to enforce, but a presumption in civil law (similar to car seatbelts) that a person clearly not paying attention is 100% to blame for any accident would settle the matter.
