    Sqeaking brakes

Well, I have some spare rotors so I will try fitting them. The existing ones are true and on the correct way, the wheel bearings do not have any play, so it's down to either the pads or rotors, but I am fed up and this is positively (Basil Fawlty) their last chance!

    Sqeaking brakes

I am getting fed up with adjusting my Avid BB7 disc brakes. I set them just right, but within a few miles they are squeaking. Seriously thinking of fitting rim brakes.

    more of this please

You should try the Swansea Bay cycleway. Originally it was the bed of the Mumbles Railway but has now been tarred over and holiday makers think that it is the 'Promenade', despite a white line the whole length with the usual cycle and pedestrian markings. Walkers just do not seem to appreciate...

Quick release coming undone on its own

Problem is that the wheel itself is as firm as ever. The skewer is to thick to stretch (although I see that avid mountain bikers change their skinny skewers to 15mm ones) and there is no sign of anything wrong at the acorn end. I have put a spot of paint on the acorn and also cable tied the...

Quick release coming undone on its own

As usual, the Great Sheldon Brown has the answer, https://www.sheldonbrown.com/skewers.html Apparently, they do come loose, particularly if they are the cheap plastic external kind

Quick release coming undone on its own

How did you do that? Did you buy new wheels or is there some way of replacing the skewer with nuts?

Quick release coming undone on its own

Never heard of this before, but twice in the last 4 weeks I have found my front wheel loose. I tightened up the nut and lever both times and am now keeping a watch on it. I am certain that the bike has not been tampered with, the rear wheel and saddle clamp are as firm as ever. Any ideas anyone?

Motor cutting out on Tonaro Compy

First thing I would try is to make sure that the brake levers go right back when released. This was the cause of a similar problem that I had on my Tonaro

    Battery Noise

Well, I would be worried that the thing is going to catch fire. Could be a cell shorting, heating up and venting gas or liquid. Leave the battery outside, somewhere where it doesn't matter if it does burn.

UK E-bike laws about to change or fake news?

I guess it's the old canard, the users think that they are not using them on a road so it's OK

UK E-bike laws about to change or fake news?

I have seen a number of these on the Swansea Bay cycle path.

    Chain slipping?

My guess is the rear cogs, particularly if you have an 11 tooth one

    Cadence and torque sensors

Being arthritic, it is always cadence sensor and throttle for me. Torque sensing would be absolutely useless. (I have tried a Bosch)

Information on throttle on green edge

Both my TONARO Enduro and Woosh Gale have stand alone throttles. (there is no pedelec etc. on the TONARO, it is throttle only) They were made before 2016

    A Different Perspective on ebikes

I wonder if this quote is actually true. And with that the courier makes the most powerful point of all: Cars in Los Angeles are associated with unspeakably greater numbers of deaths, injuries, illnesses, and social problems like traffic and poverty than all the e-bikes in the world put together.

Bosch ebike anti lock brake system

Oh dear, a solution in search of a problem. Why add complexity ( and cost and servicing and repair costs) to a simple bike? KISS
