    Watching videos of bikes using throttles going uphill with crank drive, why am I hearing multiple clunks and clicks, whereas a the hub bike on the same hill is pretty smooth and quiet. Listen at about three quarters into this short video.

    Hi Steve, that franks my thoughts and feedback, personally I wouldn't use the bosch nor probably yamaha or shimano.

    also mostly using throttle I prefer 26 inch wheels easier to get feet on d ground. Im with you in Yamaha

    With bafang 250w cd hub 42t crank, 7 speed on the back never see the need to move it out of 2nd and 3rd gear.

    Well I hope the OP solves her problem but as Leigh Ping has said for road running a front or rear hub with a throttle maybe a wiser choice for anyone thinking of buying in the near future. Im no expert but I've watched dozens of videos and have noticed lots of clunking on crank drive motors...

    Im 61 and also a leisure cyclist, biggest hill im likely to encounter is a sleeping policeman :-) Out of the ezee and the big bear, which motor would you say was more powerful in terms of speed and hill climbing? Thanks, Andy

    Not knocking cyclotricity they are very powerful motors but being direct drive you may find a geared hub more fit for purpose.
