    Best Rear Hub Drive

You are right Tom, I'm not comfortable going above the legal 250w limit. Im so far into the EAPC I don't want to stop, so many advantages over a moped, cycle tracks, park anywhere, take on the train etc. The major issue is all the different 250w options and variations, bit like sticking the...

    Best Rear Hub Drive

Good input. To pull my overweight frame at 15.5 mph under throttle only as needed along fairly flat roads and the odd small inclines.

Heard mixed reports on Cyclotricity on the web but see they are based in the UK. Anyone with experience using their hub motors? How do they stack up against Bafang, Woosh, eZee etc?

    Drive Chain Advances

It might be your best bet to test with your own bike first, its an absolute minefield out there in terms of market availability. The more powerful the motor the less gears we need so i read. Take a look at this if you haven't seen it already. https://www.electricbike.com/mid-drive-kit-igh/

    Drive Chain Advances

Ive seen a few pedal and electric bikes with carbon fibre drive belts and solid driveshafts as opposed to traditional steel chains. Are these innovations the way of the future for IGH? I can't see how they would work with derailleurs.

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

Thank you again. Im looking now at a Electra Townie, I believe already bought out by Trek? I really like the idea of a flat foot bike as I'll mostly be on the flat. Either put a front wheel hub motor or a BBS01 CD, which do you think would work best?
