Don't think I have ever seen one tbh. Used to have a bottle dynamo in not the best condition and that was quite the opposite of an electric motor ;D

Oh wow the sound of that! I would be accelerating down the roads centre line mumbling "V1"...."Rotate"...."Gear Up".... ;D

Powabyke Xbyke/Tongsheng TDZ - a 'not another build thread' thread

It's getting stranger now. Have done 39 miles - the LCD still shows full which I am now taking as unreliable, but additionally (& separately really!) the row of LEDs on the battery casing are still fully lit. On the 1st use cycle these dropped off roughly in line with the LCD displays battery...

Think I have seen a video of that fitted to a Brompton. To be fair on the brommie it looked to work reasonably well as a helper.

Help! Tsdz2: no assist, one battery bar only

Zooming into the pic, it looks to my eyes that there are remaining strands of wire on the pad next to the green wire but....disclaimer time....I dunno so am hoping someone else can confirm!

Interesting. Multimeter shows 49.2v so would that be about 80% charged?

Powabyke Xbyke/Tongsheng TDZ - a 'not another build thread' thread

Am getting a pleasant surprise with the battery life at the moment. As the battery showed full on the LCD out of the box I did not charge it until it's 1st cycle to emptyish at 57 miles. Since her 1st recharge the bike has done 34 miles. The LCD hasn't lost a bar on the battery meter & all the...

    Sore wrist help.

These are the bars from Decathlon & are super comfy. If your bars are fine then just a stem riser or taller stem will be fine. The more natural a position your hands are in and if you reduce the weight on them due to not being hunched over...well...your wrists will thank you for it.

    Sore wrist help.

Thank you for the mansplain but the pic you have posted is of an MTB handlebar designed for manoverability not comfort. Their wrists will be even more uncomfortable with those.

    Sore wrist help.

But how can anyone advise not using a stem riser or taller stem without knowing how high the bars are in the first place? Fit more comfortable handlebars yes, but if they are still too low?!?

    Sore wrist help.

Can highly recommend North Road bars. The backsweep makes for a more natural position for the hands https://www.decathlon.co.uk/254-610-mm-city-handlebar-id_8400857.html If the bars are still too low then a stem riser as you have said or taller stem will help to take the weight off your wrists.

Yay Hi Michelle and thank you! Why not start a thread & post a pic? All these kits seem pretty universal so am sure it'll be doable :)

I like the look of that tbh - could sit behind the seat tube & tidy everything up a bit! The power lead from the battery is too short for that but thinking about it, I could make the join in the battery base plate. Have soldered in another inline fuse holder in there for the 48v lights as...
