Help! Bottom bracket nut loosening on Tongsheng TSDZ2

I made a new chainstay mount from a tubenut and a setscrew. I was not impressed by the supplied method as the cast ally bit did not like my chainstays & in any case, the elongated slot is just destined to allow movement. The bottom of mine butts up beneath the driveside chainstay & it uses the...

    Help! Mirror for Carrera Crossfire

I had a Decathlon Btwin mirror on my old recumbent that gave a great view behind, although cannot vouch for the bar end mounting as I hacked it to fit on top of the bars using a spare light mount. The ball/cup adjustment helped in a tumble & never broke. They are no longer available...

Help! Buget ebike for a budget of €1500 for leisure cycling

Mmm depends how you catagorise Low End. There is a fitness for purpose element but from experience I wouldn't put them down as crap. Nor the other brands mentioned from the positive experience of others you may read of anecdotally. At £1500 you are not going to get something cooed over in a...

    Exploding Tyre!

The only blowouts I have had are from using an overinflated tyre on a hot day. And yes plural, because this numpty did it twice. Given yours blew at night for no apparent reason, it may just have been a 's**t happens' scenario like a faulty tube?

Help! Buget ebike for a budget of €1500 for leisure cycling

Hiya, I would suggest a look at Decathlon and am sure many will chip in to mention Juicy, Wisper & Woosh. All have their fans on here!

    TSDZ2 48v 750w on Order!

Welcome, Larry. A cheap mod you could do from the get-go is replace the left hand crank with a Bafang one. There are sellers on the usual platforms. This will reduce the Q factor a tad and space the pedals more equally either side of the frame. Isla.

Powabyke Xbyke/Tongsheng TDZ - a 'not another build thread' thread

Quick update: bike is doing amazing. The battery at 45.8v is getting ready for it's 3rd charge but am on nights all week so will wait until the weekend - charging before it's next use. Sunday evening was spent alleviating some stress with a 12 mile loop taking in Peak Forest Canal towpath & a 1...

    Advice on e bike

Hiya Aimee, I don't know how far you are from a Decathlon store but they stock quite a few sub £1500 eBikes that may meet your wishlist. Their bikes are usually pretty sturdy from experience. Another option if you already have a bicycle is converting it with a kit. I reckon you may tire of...

Help - kit recommendations for Raleigh Twenty

Did the same to a 20 to fit a square taper bottom bracket axle. When I say 'machined' read 'carefully fettled with a flap disk on an angle grinder'. It worked well enough. Our 20 had the non drive side bearing cup welded in though, which for a mid drive would be further action with the grinder.

Help! Tube-mounted battery brackets, adaptors etc. - what options are there?

Am sure one of those will be fine. In fact in some ways may be a good thing being mounted forward for even distribution. I fondly remember having a go on an early one. It was riding on Big Apple tyres and they were really nice!

Help! Tube-mounted battery brackets, adaptors etc. - what options are there?

Now you have the frame to hand with your battery, have you reconsidered my Tern'esq suggestion? Am only asking as I did an image search for an electric Mundo and this one popped up with a silverfish battery in the same position. Have no idea how different a silverfish case is from a HL but it...
