    Brexit, for once some facts.

Ok... here are the facts that I know. The UK is primarily an importer, I run an import company. Costs are rising and will hit the UK hard, because a high % of our goods come from companies within the EU who buy from the Far East in $ or Yen. So for these companies, the price they pay has gone...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Not just that, the country will be asked to take a pay cut, at the same time as everything we need going up in price. So its double the issue, and it'll effect the poorest the most.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Its not just about exchange rates, if we leave the EU, and have a deal like say Switzerland... then we'll be subjected to tariff's on imported goods (like we are currently from outside the EU). In Switzerland the tarrif is 9% on bikes, so that means we'd see another jump that isn't tied to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Classic problem!!!! You're talking about the commission... that's like talking about the department for transport. They are not an elected group and don't make decisions, they just advise on things. Its the European Parliment that will vote on it, and they are elected, by you guessed it... us!

Why should they? We need EU nationals in this country, they keep most business and NHS working. The UK Nationals in the EU are mostly pensioner who have retired there. We are not in a position of bargaining power, its like me falling out with Morrison's when my family work for them!

    Scott v Haibike.

The did quite some time ago now. http://www.bikebiz.com/news/read/scott-sports-sa-acquires-bergamont/018049 It just appears that I think they are aligning the distribution in the UK, because no one else appears to have make Bergamont stick so far. Not sure why.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

But why would we "leave" and negotiate a deal like the Norway model? They are members of the EEA, so are subject to about 1/5 of the EU laws, and they have to accept free movement of people, they are in fact subject to the Schengen agreement. So we'd actually have all the things people are...

    2017 KTM news...

Seems to work here, and for others, perhaps you can try again. The Panasonic centre motor on the Amparo bikes is the same one we've been using for years. Brochure isn't complete, and there are some mistakes in it, so please don't pay too much attention to some of the details as its constantly...

Are ebikes worth the price tag?

sorry if I wasn't clear. What I was trying to say, is that if you order an £1800 eBike, the eBit of it is quite a high proportion of the cost, so if you compare it to an £1800 normal bike, the normal bike can look better value, as the electric adds quite a lot % wise. However when you're...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm not suggesting you agree with me, I'm not arrogant enough to suggest I know everything. What I am saying is watch the video and then explain to me if you think he is wrong. Don't just say, I can't be bothered to watch because his statements of fact don't tie in with my opinion. Please...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

....and there we go with the problem with this whole debate.. You were asked to vote on something you didn't know about and didn't want to learn about. You should listen, because its not about economics, because that is always guess work, its about law, and facts and things that can't be...
