Early ones are metal. tapping it round is a good option, it's a lefthand thread isn't it?

    Best warranty

I had a gear fault with the hub on my KTM, the mail order dealer I bought my bike from had stopped selling KTM bikes and suggested I find a local dealer. I contacted FLi the KTM importer and explained the dealer issue and the fault. I had clearly identified that it was the hub that was at...

Searched forums with no luck for Cyclamatic problem

Huh, has the chain dropped off the chain ring and is now sat inside chain guard ring?

Not bad, someone I follow has done 2,800 miles so far this year, with 215,000 feet of climbing !

Is a 28 mile round commute too far?

Around 1 hour to 1.15 seems reasonable. A slight thread highjack here, @wehey does it still feel like a bicycle or more like a moped?

    What's your average speed ?

Yes the GPS varies quite a lot, understandable given the huge distance it operates over. I get quite varying distances and elevation figures for identical rides. My friend gets some wild GPS traces from here phone all the time.

    What's your average speed ?

A lot of cycle computers will disregard stopped time and give you an average on running time only, fairly sure mine does that. But I use a Garmin 200 now, and that works the same way, but a cycle computer is more accurate if set up correctly.

    What's your average speed ?

There's a lot to be said for taking it easy and taking in the scenery, and it isn't all about going as fast as you possibly can, I remind myself of that quite often, but it falls on deaf ears most of the time.

    What's your average speed ?

Indeed, thanks for reminding me how lucky I am to have an abundance of virtually traffic free lanes on my doorstep :) So far it looks like the average e-bike speed is actually lower than non-electric bikes.

    What's your average speed ?

I noticed in a couple of threads that 12.5 mph seems to be a perfectly acceptable average speed on an e-bike. I was very surprised at how low it actually was. My average is a bit higher than that.

How far does your battery go?

Actually changing gear on the hub is worse, it simply won't change gear under load. The knack is to briefly pause pedalling and then change gear, if you haven't got the knack you can have some nasty noisy cringe worthy changes. Yes I have a speedup ghost on mine, it makes the bike 100 times...

How far does your battery go?

Indeed they do, yours will be a bit faster than mine, I've got a Nexus 8 hub, so a little loss there and the Bosch motor is turned down a bit to stop it breaking the hub. I love the way they're just like an ordinary bike, except easier, I also love the position of the power switch, I use all 5...

How far does your battery go?

Ah yes, it's the average speed. Still a very useful range and allows you to get up those hills. E-bikes are fantastic aren't they :)

How far does your battery go?

You could change it to a work-out briefly to let people review it, before changing it back to a private ride again. Or just make it public for a while with a note in the description to say it will be removed shortly. I've not had a ride flagged for quite some time now. You must also be a strong...
